This ones gathering pace on social media. A young girl died in an apparently stolen 2020 Toyota Supra after it crashed on an intersection and came to rest next to an electric pole caved in on passenger side and collided with 2 cars. 3 family men are injured but survived. Another One has apparently died and another paralyzed. Two of the men in the same car had the front of their car cut in half with their dash gone. She previously got caught and charged with DUI, gun possession and was couple of days from court. I believe it was always going to end badly. She was already facing suspension from driving. The Supra driver and her boyfriend both died after it crashed at 120 mph in a 35 mph zone, shortly after she posted bragging on social media how shes going to "kill it". I also chatted with someone who crashed doing similar speeds going through a red in the Z but survived. He will need a large screws in his hip for the rest of his life. Unfortunately the video is graphic so if you want to see what happened Youtube "Supra Maryland Crash". This video is the aftermath.

lol white dials like Type R....wow hope not. Was great 10 15 years ago. Digital dash not synonymous with Nissan tbh. Would be nice to get a virtual cockpit but id say 45% chance Judging by the previous trailer in which they showed a 280zx/300zx z31 digital dash...theres still a good chance. Can a digital dash be considered retro i suppose depends on the style. Any IBM AS400 looking font is retro

I have to say I had a bit hope when the interior of the Juke was shown late last year. Nissan really stepped up their game. I hope they can go one further with this car. Since they did with the Ariya. Just need functional and good looking. Not necessarily snazzy and techy like the Ariya

Just a week left till unveil, we more or less know what to expect with the exterior. Just waiting to see what theyve done on the interior. Im guessing stitched look high positioned slim line dash. 6-7 inch touch screen with gauge pods on top possibly a different style. Its possible theyve integrated AC controls into the infotainment system. Hopefully not Im hoping for 4 circular vents. I'm guessing that may not be the case. Ambient lighting I doubt it. Leather seats, Leather gear knob, Leather steering wheel. Matte look leather in some places. Hoping for some contrast on the interior so it doesn't look too dull. Leather knee pads or Alcantara Hopefully you can select the stitch colour on seats and steering wheel and dash. Why am I thinking interior could be make or break as well as design of the lights and back of the car

Going for the GT or more mature look

This is based on test cars that have been spotted.

No match this time. Ones a wide 4 rectangular neon style tubes at the back and a spherical shape lamp at the front. Maybe they should go with a single lens similar to the current Zed and have an SL Mercedes day time running diagonally above and around it. Change the lamp at the front. That way you have wider lamp at the front to try match the rear. Tbh thats virtually the same as the 370 and many werent fans of that light design.

I thought they go with an screen and ac controls similar to the 370 ipad mod looks like itd be similar to other nissans hmmm.... I guess we,ll wait till next week. Not a fan of cupholders anywhere near the gear lever. The pod gauges should be there but the screen remains a similar size

Anywho I think there is an interior shot. Not 100% sure its the new car. The lights preview is good timing as I was wondering what theyd look like

They could have gone for Skyline type or 458 style rear lights. Then they would say poor mans Ferrari or wana be GTR. Guaranteed this time it wont look like a Juke. Its going to be toned down from the 370 and less curves. I remember a few people saying they want to be able to move around without standing out too much and a unique look aka Alpine doesn't mean its good . So what is it going to be . I personally would have gone with slim headlights similar to the new 2020 Jaguar but slightly higher up. Then day time running lights similar to the new SL. Still a boomerang in a way but slicker.Doubling up as turn signals At the back tinted glass backing along with gloss black fibreglass in the middle section where the Nissan logo would go etc. Id keep the lights the same but slim LED lamps. Just using the Audi style turn signals. Front grill similar but a nice matt black or matt grey honeycomb mesh grill with bumper protruding the grill.

The production model Nissan Ariya is exactly the same as the concept. It may change according to feedback. Unlikely though. The nod to the past is what a lot of people asked for in US. Thats why they went that direction. Same with the supposed VR30 engine. Theyve only done what people have asked for the last 4 years.

the flat back is meant to be a take on the 300ZX and 240Z....lots of people didnt like the boomerang signature Nissan lights on the 370 I doubt the car will look any different than this. So some of the renderings have been very close. 10 days to go I bet this rendering here is the closest.

There have been some Silvia renderings floating around. A 2 liter 2 + 2 300 hp would be good using A35 Engine maybe or the older q60 300hp engine if it still exists.

I think theyve gone with simpler, cleaner design and it will be the same on the interior in terms of clean and uncluttered. A screen replacing the current infotainment buttons. The bonnet also has an HR look to it only that the hump has been moved forward I think the new F type front lights work better for a future model. The boomerang was their signature before. This type of day time running light is somewhat unique. The grill looks like one of the renders from few weeks ago With Aftermarket youll probably have a choice of different honeycomb, patterned grills and front bumpers. Id do something with the grill if it came like this or can always add some details if its plain plastic

£39,999 Thats going to be tough. Priced against a Z40! Its 5-9k cheaper. New Supra without discount is £54,000. Some stuff to look at . Exhaust note was in the video towards the end. No pops and bangs from the sounds of it like the Supra and Z40! At £39,999 and £34,000 as an Ex Demo Id say somewhat of a great price tbh. Its a heavy facelift + different engine + slightly better interior for same price I dont think anyone can complain Its cheaper by £15,000 than a Supra. My honest opinion is that the car will cost £43,000-£45,000 with not much options to choose from as theyll be loaded. Take it or leave it kind of thing. Ill be shocked if its £39,000

Did you notice the double lights on the sketch almost like a glass fascia across the whole rear. It will most likely be a cgi render on the 16th. Its being called a prototype. I doubt any interior will be shown Interior wise id like a slim dash with circular vents and nicer material inside. No cheap plastic. A cleaner center console maybe use some aluminium and better materials, alcantara for leg rest. A screen and AC controls. No more clutter. No cup holder in the way.

In 2011 I worked in Charity shops. It seemed like people were getting rid of as many VHS tapes as possible. We had 100s come through. Couldn't even offload them for 50p at one point. VHS players would sit around for ages. My guess is they got shipped abroad and sold elsewhere lol. But a Vhs or betamax player will become more expensive for sure

i think japanese cars are treated with some critical bias. Some cars get to be labelled sports cars while others are not classed as so purely down to weight and/or power. The average man on the street sees the Z as a sports but in enthusiasts circles it may not be so. I remember comments stating the GT86 wasnt a sports car due to only having 200hp so it shifted from weight to power lol Its a case of i dunno ill just enjoy my car. Thats for others to figure out The Nismo with its hard suspension and almost track ready state a GT? Not so comfortable GT

Good point.
