  1. lol nice car, even though it stands out I dont think it has the road presence but it will be a headturner for sure. Although I feel the Z4 better and more spacious, I have a feeling within a few months there will be something else to rival it for cheaper
  2. Nismo is a hard ride, but a bit more compliant than a lot of rivals. Maybe consider Air Ride or Coilovers not lowered too much. Might be better
  3. Going to look on weekend to see what the fuss is about. I rather have the Z4 M40i. Looks way better. One guy is trying to cash in putting it up for £65,000 Good luck with the sale
  4. Opening doors, bonnet and boot would have been awesome. I suppose the lights youd have to wire that yourself like on Youtube
  5. GT Spirit are good too. Shame the doors dont open
  6. Probably not news for many. A few dealers have decided to take them on hoping to sell them. All I say is good luck with the sale. Hopefully there wont be a 2020 and 2021 but lets say im not putting bets down. £34,999 please.....................
  7. Yep they are already planning to release hybrid 911 and hybrid panamera with a view to offering full electric on those models in future. I cant see my brother getting a base model. Either way im sure 400-600hp will be nice to haul all that weight around. Obviously itll be nice if he got the Nurburgring spec. You only live once right. lol
  8. Dont worry half the people over here in the UK cant speak English and thats the mother tongue lol
  9. Initial Outlay of most brands still more expensive than the gas guzzling used car run over 2 years. Even the Honda E with its range of 125 miles they want to price at £30,000 On a more positive note my brothers favourite Porsche Taycan just got 7:42 on the Nurburgring. Porsche boast no power fade in comparison to Tesla with lots of consecutive launches. That caused a bit of a storm online. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.carscoops.com/2019/08/porsche-taycan-prototype-shows-how-it-copes-after-30-consecutive-launches/amp/
  10. Looking on Autotrader Nissan Leaf loses up to £13000 in value post 12 months. At 36 months it being sold at £12-15,000 for the mid and low spec. More likely top spec leaf will retail at £20,000 post 36 months low mileage for the £40,000 new leaf top spec. The mid range model at £36000 new and lower spec at £30,000 new. Tesla Model S is being sold at £39-62k 2016 models. Not sure how much they were brand new. Guessing 60-90k depending on model. Teslas holding better value due to brand popularity in this sector. 30% depreciation is good. But thats Tesla. Other brands depreciate far more. Daily Mail may be the butt of jokes, but that particular article wasnt far off. The unwanted Nismo 370z loses up to £15,000 in the first 2 years from £40,000 extreme case 37.5% but the Germans such as the older M2 lost up to £12,000 after 2 years and 20,000 miles 30 - 39% percentile range depreciation is more realistic on petrol cars 3 years old and 30k miles. I appreciate people like what they like. I was interested to see what other brands apart from Tesla can offer. Nissan offer 300 mile range which is good. Im not a huge fan of electric cars but I appreciate what they do. Its just not feasible for most people until the proper infrastructure is in place especially those without a cushty driveway or charging points they can see from their living room overlooking the street. Im not arguing for or against. Just giving an opinion never claimed anything as fact.
  11. the 350z girl had a clean go. But you might be right or wrong. Its hard to tell. Some of the drivers in episode 1 were absolute garbage. Also certain cars are easy to control and dont take huge amount of skill to drift. They need to ditch the excessive arab style commentary. It ruins the experience a little when everything needs to be explained. But i suppose its similar to those japanese gladiator style obstacle course tv shows. Three commentators is a bit over the top Episode 2, "oh we can see shes distraught" no we cant see lol we need you to tell us.....
  12. @Ebized A self charging ev would have been thought of but im sure theres a logical explanation for why there isnt one on the market. Or anything that comes remotely close is a petrol hybrid aka Prius, Auris, CRZ, NSX and some hypercars to name a few. Regenerative braking, one pedal driving, solar panelled cars from Holland costing £130,000 are available. Just not in the traditional format. PS the solar panel car from Holland has been touted as the next big thing for the 5% ers. Pure electric and high starting price, but Fisker already did something similar years ago or tried to. but it wasnt purely electric getting a shocking 20 mpg.
  13. if you really want to keep your v6 or gas guzzling sports car post 2030 you may need to install an integrated electric motor to switch on as soon as the enforcement officers get behind you. Hide your exhausts and only come out at night. With an electric motor you too are doing your bit for the environment. Really, what will you tell your kids if you dont comply with the new rules?
  14. @coldel where do you currently park? There must be petitions already for car park charging. If its private you would probably need to reach out to the developers or whoever owns the area to put the charging points up? I think within time they will start putting them up in residential areas
  15. Mate I just charge it on my block and hope the asbos find something better to do than set the cable alight. I was driving the other day and saw charging points on an estate near the main road. Anything is possible. Just need the kids to get on board and there'll be no vandalism. Also nipping to cafe for 30 minutes before setting off on the 500 mile trip is possible. But youll have to stop for 30 minutes somewhere to charge up again. Until the 500 mile range battery is made widely available
  16. There will always be new tech especially with the quicker charging vehicles. But its the fear of the battery needing replacing. Guess im no different with the CRZ lol. The IMA battery light flashed up on the dash back in January I was literally ready to get rid. Thats nothing in comparison to having to replace a Tesla battery im sure. Either way they should last 150,000 miles?? But also if you live in London. From 2025 it wont matter whether you have a car the runs on Electricity or Hydrogen. Youll be hit with the congestion charge. We come a long way from people driving petrol hybrids exempt from congestion charge back in 2011. From 2025 all cars will be charged. I wont be surprised if they start adding an alternative version of VED to electric vehicles even if its £20, £30 pounds a year. Those government discounts may not be so discounted if EVs become more common

  18. I was thinking if I see this at the Tokyo Motorshow and no new Z, I might go down there and have a word myself. Fortunately its easier to just buy something else than care that much
  19. Its almost too perfect concerning the lines of the car. I would have gone for something a bit elevated or angled. Similar to the Nismo mk2. As its the convertible i can see why suttle is better If that was the intention then its alright. May need a respray to colour match.
  20. I got mine at £4,000 below market value. We buy any car gave me what I paid pretty much a year later and 8000 miles on. They did knock off £200 for 4 stonechips on the bonnet. Sell privately but if you spot something you like part exchange can usually yield a discount in the right dealer. Think about it carefully. once its gone its gone.
  21. lol the 50th anniversary just landed in the UK. £34,000. Thats going to be worth £22,000 in a year lol. Didn't think it was coming to UK lol
  22. LOL youll have to stop at some point for longer than 5 minutes. The time it takes to get from the car at the back of the busy motorway services to the toilet. Possibly pick up a coffee or magazine to read at the next stop when the little one really needs to go because they thought they didnt need to go during the petrol stop. Okay it might not be as long as 30 minute break to charge though. But offset that with putting another 40 pounds in for fuel. A trade off maybe lol
