  1. Think 2.5 months in Japan stood out for me! Congrats on retiring from IT. What a weight off shoulders. I cant wait for my time to come! Good luck on your future endeavours. Sounds like a round the world trip. Throw in North America and South America then yea!
  2. The one im going to check tomorrow has a stock exhaust which isnt bad. As its convertible it gets loud in the cabin right? Even with the roof up?
  3. late reply. Resonated tails like I had were not as loud as non resonated. It sounded more refined but still loud enough when on the gas and on cold start. I had aam short tails. Not loud enough to annoy people. non resonated tends to be more raspy and louder by a little bit.
  4. Good to see people signing up here everyday with new buys. Welcome and enjoy. Hope for a long summer!
  5. I think as time goes on you'll love it more. I came close too, but those other cars dont really provide the same satisfaction. People look as its quite rare but also the design is timeless much like the 350
  6. Got my eye on a few. Was going to get the Nismo 370 which I had before but going to leave it. Maybe Ill keep it for a few years and see what happens with any announcements as that always affects prices of previous. Any mods planned?
  7. welcome considering a convertible myself. Yep I assume ill set aside £1000 for roof etc if I got one
  8. Not cheap on petrol. I could get a TT but the numerous issues and the less soulful drive is not really appealing. Also they are so common. The car can get 23-28 mpg avg over time on extra urban roads if youre driving around the city it will drop to 18mpg if you floor it 16.8 mpg just like the GTR. I used to take mine for drive on motorway to get premium fuel across town almost every week. Makes a difference to the mpgs. Some weeks were £30 on fuel other weeks when I put my foot down £50-£60. I once went for a drive on sunny saturday. Windsor, farnham, hounslow, denham, central london. I covered 50 miles hard driving within the law. Kept an eye on temperature. I used £20 which is 4 gallons . On a car like this its not bad when you think how much smaller engines with turbos would use. You wana ride a rollercoaster you got to pay up or you can always get a small hybrid coupe like I did with no power and a £1000 battery . Oh and kids love the 370. So its worth it!
  9. Its not going to be £40,000.... Based on the way it looks its already been a hit with the online car community. It wont be more expensive than the top spec leaf which cost £36,000 as its the first release by Honda. It will most likely be £26,000 to £32,000. Who would buy this over tesla model 3. Younger people that arent interested in saloon looking family car. People that want something that looks cool and stands out from the common stuff on the road. Something different and unconventional. There are also rumours of the coupe version which is also a concept and has been put on hold to see how this does when released. Although highly unlikely to release this year. The chief designer wants it to be released this year. Take a city like London 30 miles across you could easily do a return trip to the south east on one charge. Honda have said its a city car not an intercity grand tourer
  10. lol, Each to their own. To be part of the Porsche club makes sense to get a decent spec. I know its a porsche, but a 4 pot turbo can be had in many similar cars from VW tbh. If im getting a porsche it needs to be better than a base 4 pot. , 3.4, 3.8.....not 2.0 but everyones different. I just dont see porsche as a 4 cylinder even though they offer it same with jaguar and others.
  11. Autotrader thats the GTS 2.5. The 2.0 Turbo starts at £44,000. Yea thats what I thought they were. With decent trim its around £51,000
  12. Had a look they reckon £25000-£30,000 and I dont think theyll increase the range. They might release another model if this sells well
  13. had it on the Nismo. I hit a curb at mercedes and yep they did the job. If you scrape a curb that isnt slanted backwards you may have an issue with rubbing higher up. These rims dont protrude so should be fine This protects you at low speeds hitting at an angle. I dont think it will protect you hitting the curb at high speed as this happened when I left my car with Nissan and the whole thing came off. Never had an issue once I put them on. Taking them off leaves a tough adhesive that may need scrubbing with warm water to get off Got mine of Ebay rimblades scuffs I think they're called.
  14. I wonder what the price is going to be
  15. Crazy, neighbours must have been giving evils! Problem with smaller engined cars you need to adjust your driving and pre plan steep climbs and downshifts. Just different experience. Then getting up to speed on a flat you realise what your missing. Power!
  16. Its crazy. Alpine at 51k....cant see it, especially on a reworked Megane Engine Not a lot for many people. Ill stick with getting a 370Z instead. This car has a terrible range. A couple of accelerations from the lights and youl need a recharge. The LEAF has a better range. This just looks better. Although the design is nice 718 at £60,000 well what can I say.
  17. if youre in Scotland there are some zeds doing the nc500. The thread can be found in the meets section
  18. Well the LEAF is around £21,000 -£36,000 for highest spec. Thats after £4500 government grant! Well yes it is expensive but thats the way things are going. I dont think this will be made in UK
  19. Welcome to the forums. Nice Z. Love a white Z. Best colour for it imo. 2018/19?
  20. Close to final version. Honda want to release this year! Like the design! Rear wheel drive, 4 seater and battery under the rear of the car. up to 120 mile range. Lets see how it performs and final price under £40k I think the leaf is around £33k Now translate that to the next gen Civic and youre onto something! I also think the model 3 will be a hit when it comes. Good time to give electric a go?!
  21. Band D - you will be fined between 200% and 300% of your weekly income. Band E - you will be fined between 300% and 500% of your weekly income. Band F - you will be fined between 500% and 700% of your weekly income. "youre screwed mate"
  22. They seem to suffer the same problem as Nigeria. Advisory speed limits written the highway code. No sign posted or enforced via camera. But to be honest south africa are more organised on that front. Its at police discretion to decide if you were speeding or not. Maybe you can pay them off depending on who it is lol. The cameras will be hard to enforce if people who have new cars are driving around without plates which can happen in Nigeria. I dont know about South Africa. The whole ANPR network and system isnt quite there in some countries like the UK. Theyll get there eventually lol
