  1. The red mark one Ive seen on YouTube was in Europe. Are you sure they are here? Its usually white and black here in UK. That red one had colour coded bumpers looked good.
  2. Yea ive driven e92 m3 and my mates 4 series. Been in Mercedes coupes and Audis. I wanted a Type R when I was younger but never got round to it. So when I got the 350z and 370z i felt those were the cars I had more connection with. With the BMW I can go anywhere and park anywhere and it wouldn't attract too much attention even if it had an M performance kit. The Z however id be worried going to certain places or parking in certain areas with it haha. But you get that feel good factor knowing the only person whos got one lives miles away and doesnt daily his.
  3. Daily, I only drive 3 miles to work and might drive out at lunch times. So 12 miles a day and the odd extra 6 miles to the gym. Sounds daunting! lol. Cars are made to be driven. But I might get a little Clio or Yaris on the side as you never know how much itll be worth one day.
  4. yeah the M2 is lighter by like 70-80KG and a different chassis although using N55 engine. Possibly 375 on the dyno. I saw a drag race between the two its literally level. Around the corners the M2 would make headway. I think the 240I has been dialled back a bit. A small remap can take the 240I to 390HP
  5. No auto on any of the nismos in UK
  6. Yeah I agree, depends if youre happy to blend in or get something different.
  7. I'm considering both and I like the idea of extra seats and decided M2 was a bit steep for me. Besides the 240i has the B58 engine with a bit more torque and theres not much in it in a straight line between M2 and 240!. I also like the Mk1 Nismo as Ive had the mark 2 before, fancy looking at the older nismo without the Recaros which were the main selling point in the mk2. After seeing R13ards one at Ace Cafe I thought maybe. The MK1 will obviously drink more but will be rarer and the BMW I would get in Auto even though Im more of a manual driver. I did read some issues with infotainment system. But other than that pretty reliable. Not sure now lol. Both are around £20,000 to £25,000 roughly for 16/17 BMW and 14 plates Nismo respectively. 369 ft/lbs/335 HP BMW 240I - 4.5 secs Auto 270ft/lbs/344HP 370Z Nismo (Manual only) 5.2 secs
  8. Once youre done can get the V6. These can be mapped to 260HP? I think they are already 250HP 3.2.
  9. Give it 12 months even after avoiding potholes something would have worn out on the car unless its relatively new. London roads are terrible. WHats the depreciation like on the renaults?
  10. Damn you really live remotely. Then again probably better roads though.
  11. my brother had one for 7 years in showrooom condition. Traded it in for the E class coupe and now the 911. He still speaks highly of it. I remember him leaving a GTi tailgater and the stunned look on their faces. Cool car indeed
  12. Scirocco R killed in 2017. With the Golf R no point really. Yeah you wont get the same buzz in those cars. Just straight line performance A to B. Megane would be lighter and similar engine used in the Alpine. 1.8 4 banger. Closer in performance to the Hyundai.
  13. LOL @Ekona Nice modern list though! I would recommend a CRZ. BUt I feel the step down in power and quality might be too depressing to comprehend. A 4 seater coupe thats somewhat reliable may be better like a 2 Series coupe (235/240i) under warranty?. Cant think of anything atm. Still early
  14. Lol, the risk of having your car "test driven" by Halfords is too high
  15. DE = 03 - 05 (More Torque down low apparently ) Rev Up DE = 06 (High revving oil burner) on some models HR = 07 - 09 (Higher Revving, More refined)
  16. If someone did this for a GCSE Automotive project id give an A* for sure
  17. gt is usually UK spec with cruise control, brembos and rays. Non GT come with cloth seats and standard spec. Usually imports from Japan
  18. they should bring that blue back. The newer dark blue isnt a patch on this blue
  19. 3-4 years is a good amount of time to own this car I think. Change is always good. Wouldnt say no to a 240Z
  20. Better off going on the back bumper tbh
  21. The gated communities people are speaking about will soon become a thing in the big cities and some suburban towns in UK. All you need are a couple break ins, endless amount of loitering and civil unrest. Id feel a lot safer in a gated community with barbed wired fences and cctv than be out in the open to the elements. Go there in normal clothes. No fancy brand names, jewellery or flashing cash around youll be fine. Staying out past 10pm in most African countries im not so sure. Kenya should be okay. One of my colleagues family live there and they are English heritage. He visits every year. Anyway criminals usually get street mob justice in most places before police arrive. Strangers are more likely to have your back out there than here.
  22. Northolt air base is close by but I doubt they came from there. Ive seen a few chinooks and typhoons go by. Not sure how @Payco organized the fly by. I would have thought jet fuel alone would cost a bomb . Saving it for those Russian incursions in the North Sea Was a good event not a drop of rain even though rain was due.
