  1. Can see your point, however I use the Z as a daily. So at very least I can enjoy it on route to work and back. Which will keep me happy. 30miles a day Freelancer for all the rest of driving. Except for Le man's, Wales blasts and Z meets.
  2. Torqen sorted me out with a set . . .
  3. Thanks everyone. Really do like the Landrover, drives well (for what it is, of course its no Z), got lots of gadgets and amazing how much more we could take to the carboot today (in aid to making room in the house!) While I am not naïve that baby will change life somewhat, I still plan on doing everything and some more of what I and the wife enjoy. Would like to think the baby will not change it all. Of course some things will be different but on the whole I am very excited. The Z is staying for the moment, but without the ability to turn the passenger airbag off, I cannot carry the child in it until from what I have been told around 4 years old (rear facing). So lets see how things workout with it! But I do plan on keeping the Z.
  4. Am going to be a dad in Febuary, which I am really looking forward too. Wife had a MR2 Roadster and I the 350Z. Neither being very practical for carrying a baby! So had to rethink the cars, real shame as I spent alot of time finding a really nice example MR2, and I am really happy with the Z the way it currently is. Despite my best efforts with Man Maths to justify keeping 3 cars - in the end it was just not stacking up, So the MR2 has gone, replaced with the below Land Rover Freelander LE Sport with HST bodykit, 2.2 Turbo diesel, full leather, 4x4, lots of space, comfortable and safe. Bye Bye
  5. While I have not been through depression myself, we all have good days and bad ones, Key to life is focus on what YOU want out of it. Write a list down of your plans for life: 1 month 6 months 1 year 5 years 10 years 20 years Then start looking at ways to achieve those plans, (you are unlikely to achieve everything but that is not the point, its about focus) Make changes to your day to day routine if possible, surprising how that can open a new dynamic, try keeping in contact with positive people. Maybe start a new hobby/sport, you will meet new people. If your relationship has ended and she is moving on, let her go. Sorry to be harsh about it, but neither of you owe any time to one another once its ended. As others have said, no point being in a relationship going nowhere, you are better off moving on and finding the right person for you. Cut the links, remove her from FB etc. A place I often find inspiration from on many things is https://www.ted.com/ I just typed Depression into it search, 254 talks. https://www.ted.com/...ch?q=depression And this one maybe a bit controversial, but I am dead against long term use of anti depressant drugs. I only see the drugs as a plaster rather than a fix. The longer you are on them the harder it could be to re-focus. I am not a doctor so please do not take this as medical advice, this is only my personal opinion.. You have taken the biggest step already fella - admitting it to yourself - you are in a hole and you need to find a way out. The only way is up. Good luck - P.s. We are all happy to be your friend.
  6. As already said, you need 370 lug nuts, they cost £130+ for a set!! Spacers on front job done. They look great imo
  7. Welcome from across the A40, in Cheltenham. Get those pictures up and keep a look out for a red z. That's me.
  8. Ohhhhh exciting not driven with mpss yet but you all rave on about them so much I will be going for a set, next spring I guess as got plenty of tread still left in my 452's.
  9. Sad to see it go (sounds like it was my car)! Good luck with the new project and car. Maserati 3200 or 4200?
  10. I enjoy it fella. Have not seen last nights yet, need to iplayer it tonight.
  11. I have chased a S2000 across the evo triangle a few times, they do fly along as you said when they are being wrung out. Put a good driver in a S2000 and I think it would put some distance between the Z in the corners. Of course the Z will catch up on the straights. Often with a change of car comes a different way of driving to get the most out of it. It will take some time but I am sure you will love the Z just as much very soon.
  12. Congratulations both of you. You were both lovely people when met you on the peaks trip. . . Just presumed you were married then. Stunning location. Stunning couple. All the best with married life.
  13. Happened to me 2 years ago with my Z. Dropped off at Heathrow, guy picked it up, knew I was away for 3 days business. Came back and the little bugger goes really nice car, there are a few extra miles on it as had to do a drop off! I checked the mileage and it was 60 miles more than I left it. Sod had obviously had some fun in it. Complained, told same thing, we have to move the cars around. Needless to say I just park in the short stay and take my keys with me now. Work have to stump up the bill as I refuse to give my car to those purple parking prats. (In one way I don't blame them as if you get your hands on a nice car then there is temptation, but I have chosen to take the opportunity of that temptation away from them) Rant over. On the other hand, garages I use all seem to be quite good with not thrashing cars. Touch wood.
  14. Brand new door and wing!! That's the reason insurance is so high ladies and gents. Glad it's fixed but seems somewhat ott.
  15. Very nice car. Real shame about scratches. Although for a prospective buyer, getting the paint work sorted should not be too bad a cost, at the end you will have one very well kitted out z. GLWS
  16. Tyres are the only thing on a car that makes contact with the road. My advice always buy the best you can afford. There is a difference between spirited driving handling and having to emergency stop to preserve your life. Hence only the best should do for a fast car like the Z.
  17. Thought I had taken a video of the sound before I took Scorpion off, however I cannot find the videos. Found this one on YouTube, it sounds just like this without decats. (40sec onwards) Great sound - Great Bargain
