  1. Your 18-55 kit lens would be sufficient around London. It all depends on what type of pics you like to take. Another alternative would be to dump your kit lens altogether, and buy a multi-purpose zoom that covers wide to telephoto, that you can walk around with all the time such as the....... 18-300mm from Sigma http://www.wexphotographic.com/sigma-18-300mm-f35-63-c-dc-macro-os-hsm-canon-fit-1560120/ or the 16-300mm from Tamron http://www.wexphotographic.com/tamron-16-300mm-f35-63-di-ii-vc-pzd-macro-lens-canon-fit-1553135/#1553135 As said before, these lenses will struggle in low light especially at the long end, so be prepared to up the ISO. As Fodder said the Sigma 10-20mm is a great wide angle lens for landscape or getting lots in the frame. Its all down to what you want really and how much you are prepared to spend.
  2. The 15-85 is hardly any difference in focal length to what you have already and its 600 quid. I'd go for a cheapo 70-300mm zoom which will give you more range than the 55-250 at the long end, especially for motorsport. You have a choice between Canon, Sigma or Tamron. Check reviews on each one to see which is best. Cheap enough to buy new but consider used as mattross has said Be prepared to hike up the ISO as the apertures on these lenses dont open so wide.
  3. My solicitor was so bad I considered suing him, as he allowed me to buy a building plot in open countryside, sold with planning permission that turned out had NO pp. It took me 5 yrs to sort it!!
  4. Would have a couple of T shirts at least......good price as well!
  5. You sound like an old school tight arse like myself. 400 quid does sound a bit steep to wire in a couple of bleepers, but like you, I would have had a go also. You live and learn I suppose. Great story though!
  6. Please tell me that's a joke? That's not dancing, ...that's just called "grinding" or getting jacked off no hands in your pants! That version's just to get your interest! The normal stuff is nowhere near as hot. . . . . . . . or so I've been told
  7. Why don't you join your local Kizomba dance class My daughters are your age and get to meet close up, lots of new peeps. It doesn't look too difficult now does it!
  8. Lakes and Peaks too overcrowded even at this time of year. Your best bet is Mid/South Wales /Brecon Beacons. We could organise a meet around your visit......guest of honour??? The presence of a Lambo might encourage a few more to drag themselves out of bed than the usual 3. Whatever you decide, have fun!
  9. Yes Paul, but can you remember the farthing (1/4d) There weren't many circulated and ceased being legal tender in 1960.I can barely remember seeing any at all.
  10. I have some, but I think in the last 3 years I've only ever seen one other zed with them, out and about at various meets.
  11. Lost a front wheel years ago at Oulton Park doing the Mid-Cheshire Stages rally. It was entirely my fault....tyres were found to be rubbing on the inner arches, so wheels off and out came the lump hammer. In my excitement, I forgot to tighten the nuts up. Had violent steering vibration doing 80mph before it let go, taking all the studs with it!
  12. You do realise the Giant Defy 2 is designed for people taller than 3'6" That might have some bearing as to why you came off!
  13. You know it makes sense......The twingo for the win!
  14. Tell you what....I'll come down from West Wales park up my 350 and drive your GTR up to the meet , that way you get to drive your 350. ha ha! Must organise a meet soon over the Black Mountain. Anyone got any prefered dates?
