I cant see you would be the type to leave a 370z std, so increase your budget by another 5k+, wheels, kit, paint etc, so its going to cost you £20k+, it would have to be one hell of an upgrade for that outlay imho. As above, look out for one done, like the Art Demo car that sold

I know there is a fuss on hear with mixed tyres but unless your incredibly heavy footed I dont believe this will be the issue, will echo what glrnet says about your tyre sizes.

Thanks guys, too much choice, but will take on board the recommendations

What is a decent product guys, will it also work on the wing mirror triangle mounts?

Do you have a crush for KrazyKatz

So not standard then. Standard R34's look a bit aids: Admittedly the four door is even worse but damn, that is proper fugly

I have to admit the previous series to the last one had seemed to be scrapping the bottom of the barrel for ideas and perhaps even decent cars, but the last series before the upset occured was pretty good, the usual shennanigans but actually with a bit more adventure and focus on the cars/challenges than just scripted idiocy and some awesome cars in good settings. End of an era and two options to hopefully satisfy both camps, can only be a good thing whichever you prefer or watch

No they dont, hence 5th gear is resigned to some lowly sat channel, car people (us lot mainly) are as boring as f**k, you have obviously never sat at a table of Porsche owners banging on about diff/traction settings etc People are fickle and want the holy grail that suits them I thought the last series of tg had some great car features.

But no one wants three idiots being stupid, they all want a car show, apparently Bo%&$*ks. Your sarcasm detector is switched to off No I detected that, but saying that, according to the above replies, maybe people do? We wont get into that debate again It has changed so nothing we can do now, some people think for the better, some for worse, although we now have both, tg and a new clarkson/hammond/may so everyone can be happy

Totally on the money. I am into old school bmx's, the prices are just crazy and it basically comes down to that, couldnt afford them when growing up, probably earning silly money now, so will pay whatever to own them.

In std guise as my per my comments they do, imo.

I agree, just sharing from being in a similar position to the op, i wanted a change, but without rose tinted specs as i know the 350 has its failings, its all bang for buck and justifying my outlays and subsequently the 34 just wasnt going to tick enough boxes to make it a better option than a 350. I have never struggled with comfort in the 350, i remember posting a few months after buying i just done a 500 round trip, m ways, a and b roads and felt i could do it again, i also said then, try doing that in a highly tuned rx7, which is why i mention above, get out in some traffic and general driving as in general, thats where you spend most of your time. I am not right or wrong, just giving an opinion from my experience

I looked at R34 GTT as a replacement for the 350. The neo engine is a very good and easily tuned to 350 - 400. The factors that put me off though, in standard guise it looks absolutely sh*t, so i wanted something with gtr bumper, bonnet etc, but to really get the benefits it needs the gtr rear arches. It wasnt a problem finding something similar to that, but then onto the 2nd problem, only imo of course, the price. I just could not get my head around paying £9k + for a late nineties car, jm imports had a lovely one (minus the wheel colour), but it was near £11k, this one: http://jm-imports.co...00ps-gtr-front/ To explain my price issue, i appreciate they have a value, but to me, it wasnt going to be £3k-£4k better than my 350, certainly wasnt going to be as nice a place to be or live with, so in the end, found a supercharged Zed at a sensible price and wouldnt give a r34gtt a 2nd look now. I have a soft spot for an Evo5/6, anything after and they look just a little dull imho, but and i know its wrong, but just cant get my head around owning one as an old fella at 45, its a young mans car. R32 would be my Skyline of choice, but no way i would want one as a daily, you will spend time fettling and it will feel very old compared to your 350.
-
Perhaps also worth a comment, whilst the zed isnt luxurious inside, its quite a nice to be, going older may seem like a backwards step, I have done it a couple of times and its made those choices seem positively old in comparison. We can all offer opinions but as with most similar threads, start having a look at a few and get some decent test drives, make sure you not only get a chance to put them through their paces but also go get into some traffic and some normal day to day town driving.

If you have them out you, take them to a local bearing supplier.
-
I think you take your chances tbh, evo bottom ends arent the strongest from what i recall, seemed to be quite a few cases when i was on mlr.
-
Tuning and reliability are two words that dont go together i am afraid, especially when talking older stuff. I know Evo's are not bomb proof but that is the area i would looking out of your list. Doc makes a good point, Rx7 with a rebuild is easily in budget, if you can get a Hayward Rotary rebuild they are guaranteed for 2 years no matter what you do tuning wise and driving wise, so long as he maps them. I would stick to twin turbo, breathing and fuelling mods and you will see 350+ in a car that weighs 1300kg Rx7's were released in the UK though Doc

It wasnt a dig mate, just an observation If you want something that has precision/polish/dynamics though, its not such a good review, 4/5 or not, hence my comment It is what it is and for the money, what other alternatives are there, doesnt mean i have to want one to get it though

Great colour and awesome wheels, really nice combo imho

Rookie looking to purchase a Z in March/April

Nismo kits are quite popular, i would look for one with that already done, will save you a lot of cash in the long run. -
Is that a question?
