  1. Jetpilot

    Less rasp

I have a true dual and hfc combo and pass Thruxton noise test, the strictest in the country at 90db, but have also done Castle Combe with Andy James, supercharged running full Miltek and it sounds gorgeous, not a hint of rasp.
  2. Stange comment, probably some history between the two, I guess the phrase, its just not cricket comes to mind
  3. Not as dismissive as your same day, same driver etc, I think they are relevant and pretty accurate, just not gospel.
  4. Anyone care to bet he gets a nomination for this role next year?
  5. I think tg times, ring lap times (particularly horst von saurma) etc offer a good indicator, whilst there are many variables to consider with decent drivers behind the wheel, they are never going to be a million miles away (unless of course its wetter than an otters pocket or snowing ). So if in this example the rs is 2 ish seconds quicker, you know its always a close match, not, the rs is faster full stop end of story.
  6. Just seen an advert for Will Smiths new film, call me cynical, but.......I think we now know her motives ; )
  7. 350 is 1.32 Comparing a modified 350 to std 370 is utterly pointless.
  8. Going for a really dark solid grey, Hexis Hx20446b. Well i went to collect and wasnt happy so they are re doing, will update when i get the bits later this week hopefully.
  9. A bit of news, wrap has been booked with a local guy, he has done Aventadors, 458's, my mates Bentley SuperSport so have some faith. http://wrapandtintworx.co.uk/ Hoping to get it done by March, few things to do first, smooth front bumper, tailgate etc
  10. Gearing will be the issue on a long circuit
  11. My sentiments entirely, i never got why Ford pushed them out as front wheel drive when ever other rally rep on the road was 4wd. I really like the Rs, but, if it was my money and that was the kind of car i wanted i would have a Impreza Spec C (hatchback if thats the look your after) or equivalent Evo http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/subaru/impreza-sti/forged-438bhp-subaru-impreza-wrx-sti-type-uk-hatchback-huge-spec-low-miles/4801812
  12. Just bought a ps4 off my mate and it came with dying light, i tried but just couldnt get into it, just seemed like you were charging all over the map for small missions, charge back to base, loads of video and then charge around the map for another small mission. Liberated metal gear solid and loving it
  13. I think there are only £200 ish more new where you could get a preferential staggered set up, wider rear to front, offset is more relevant than widths which is not mentioned.
  14. Convertible, not as good looking as the coupe
  15. Nope, he just likes going fast in a straight line, but he has been out for some track days, did a hill climb school at Gurston Down, so, cant knock him
  16. I would imagine 2nd boxes sell well because its not slightly more to refurb. There are recon places out there, try one of them Bradders.
  17. Do you mean buying a 2nd hand box and swapping out? Over rebuild cost?
  18. I did try to politely suggest they werent chrome. As to what they are worth, all depends what someone wants to pay, but, not much imho, you would be best putting them on ebay. Try driving a 350 on rays/other lightweight wheel or some reasonable 19's and it will be night and day to the way it is now, that will make up your mind as to what you do.
  19. Prohibitively expensive i would imagine, not the parts the labour. I would be more inclined to get a decent working box from a trader.
  20. This might help: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/105439-350z-p0345-code/
  21. I have tried to procure the keys to the AM V8 as he rarely drives it, but we have done some track days together, so he knows what i will do to it He doesnt like corners, hence why he has the Bentley, suits his driving much more
  22. Once chrome or ally has gone, you will never get it back and if they are chrome, be prepared, whatever you do for a pain in the a&&. You will need to get them dipped to remove the chrome (sand blasting etc just wont work) and then you will not find anyone willing to rechrome ally without paying an absolutely ridiculous amount and they are a one piece wheel, even harder. So your left with having to get them polished/diamond cut, no bad thing, but then you face the dilemma of keeping them clean and shiny, unless you lacquer them, which will eventually end up with the dreaded white worm as water gets under via small stone chips and it will still cost loads. Welcome to the world of wanting shiny rims To be fair and no offence, they are cheap, not very pleasant rim and they are 20's, you would be better off living with it for as long as you can, flog them on and put all that money towards something else in a 18" or 19" variety. They are just not worth the cost of refurbing, your probably looking at an absolute minimum of £500.
  23. Will grab a pic next time i see him, bizarrely he is 47, but he also has an AM V8 if he fancies something a little less wafty. This one was mapped, 750bhp by all accounts.
  24. Just had a blast out in a friends Bentley Supersport that he has just picked up, i didnt get a drive but damn, thats a quick car and so effortless in shifting its mass If you were munching up some miles, would be a serious contender
  25. Replied on your other thread. Chris is pretty switched on with demand, if enough people wanted a cf one i am sure he could sort, but guessing the majority wouldnt want to pay the extra for something that sits under the car. Give him a try, he is very helpful.
