Ah i remember the rx7 veilside fortune kitted cars that would come up for sale, same as this, for absolutely ridiculous asking prices, usually one a year or so and month after month the price would come down and down. Sadly its just not cheap to do and owners reflect that in their price, which is odd when your putting on a kit that is pretty much universally disliked. I would imagine the cost of £280 for what is effectively a flat piece of grp with some channels/ducts in and not zed specific probably put people off. I know some cad models were done but think it was priced in line with the Apr one and in reality you could achieve a similar results with a sheet of £15 ply as per what Ben has done, check out his build thread. So the application is received, what happens when they have to sit down for interview? Do you think its fair a person of colour gets a job over a better suited white applicant? Do you think its fair a person of colour gets a roof over their head than a more needy white person? You are very accurate in what you say, also correct, but in this instance of the ops thread you will always have people throwing around the race card, when perhaps race has zero to do with it, so hows that combated?

And that is why the world cant be "equal" as it is no longer about the best person for the task (in whatever context) but all about the colour of your skin, which has no bearing on anything, except for the people who want it to be, racists and pc brigade alike. Each to their own, but, the only way I could justify buying a new car is if I was in a position to comfortable loose the depreciation over however many years, regardless of whether the payments are affordable. Are you sure they are chrome and not polished ally? Not that it really makes any difference to cleaning, but if they are chrome it will be easier to polish them up with some autosol etc

Slow progress but trying to get some minor bits complete. After not being happy with wrapping the steering wheel control inserts/fascias and instrument surround in the same brushed black style, they are just too small and with the varying holes i couldnt get a satisfactory finish. So, being they are actually metal i dropped them all off at the anodisers today to be stripped, rebrush finished and black anodised, all for the grand price of £20, so that will see an end to the aluminium highlights in the car. Hopefully some pics by the end of the week Imminent full wrap too

Pretty much what I said earlier, nothing to do with skin colour, maybe they just isnt any decent black actors or in roles worthy of nomination. You also know what will happen next year, there will be some nominees regardless of talent and you can be sure a black actor will win soon or there will be more asperations cast. I think people just need to grow a backbone and in cases where racism really isnt the topic, they just need to be told straight, but everyone is just too scared, look at the flack CR took for her comments. Plus you also have bobby above who thinks whites are priviledged and gangzoom suggesting the met police are racist, so your doomed, its a perpetual circle that isnt going away.

If you have the old stuff I would put it back on and put a few more £ towards your new car from selling the parts, although I wouldnt be at all worried about buying modified.
