Depends what you want from an electric car in many ways. Theres alot of proof that the Nissan Leaf is one of the best for the buck And when you consider the boys in their vxr or r33 wont loose a penny on depreciation it probably levels it all out. I will say, they have their place though and they suit a particular requirement, if your driving meets those requirements i see no downsides, but to me, i couldnt find one upside. One thing never really mentioned because they are relatively new, what will the costs be when they start going wrong.

I wouldnt be put off by another vq, especially seeing as on the whole is been very reliable for you, what we talking 45k-50k boosted, thats pretty impressive i would say thats far more reliable than a big hp rb26. If your looking for something a little more again to keep the interest, why not stroke it? Hopefully its just the big ends Did you have a forged crank by the way?

[/quote] G man posted up the other day that there are some kicking around for sale at list price at Ford dealers (one for sale at a dealer he visited), so you can buy one tomorrow. I am guessing lots of people speculated these would be fetching high premiums and they are not, so better to loose the £1000 deposit than however much on depreciation. Its a shame the exchange rate with Japan is so volatile or we might have started seeing a more steady stream of imports, late last year it was 179 yen to the £, its back down to 160 now, makes quite a difference when your talking a few million yen to buy a r35.
