Crewe

So any Zed owners in or around Crewe area? Once I get my own 350z around May/June time I want to start getting to know the local Zed owners and maybe some contacts for parts and so on.
  3. I'd love to go to that but I'll be in Canada and there for a whole month. I leave the 14th then come back 14th April. After I come back I'll try to get to the next meet up.

    lambo doors

The more I see them on 350z's the more it grows on me. Anyone had lambo doors before? Are they worth considering to have fitted? I have been tempted to fit them on my zed once it arrives.
  5. None yet till fingers crossed before May or just after may, got a new job so getting a 350z

    Green leather,
I think you'll find colouring black leather is very difficult as it's a dark colour. Orange would be easier. Use buffalo leather in Preston. Personally I'd use an airbrush to do it but some of the guys have used a sponge. Thin layers and the minimum amount for the coverage you need. I.e don't assume lathering it on until you have 10 million layers is the best practice. More you use the bigger chance of future failure. The lacquer sealant is the layer that takes the brunt. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Oh thank you very much for the suggestions and tips!

    Green leather,
You can have the leather reupholstered or buy a recolour kit which is what I did, fairly easy to do.
Oh is it? I'm always nervous about doing anything like that myself as I don't want to mess it up. But If it is fair easy to do then I may just give it a shot.

    Green leather,

Hey folks! I have a large list of things I will be doing to my car, Some ideas and some are a certainty. This is one of those certain mods. I'm a love of lime green or just bright candy green and given that I like the coloured interior inside selected 350z So basically I'm wanting to recolour the interior but still keeping it stock (To a point) So basically as a example. In the picture above the orange I want changing to green On this one above the orange being changed to green. Now I have heard you can get a spray to do this though naturally doing that on black leather would be easier then on orange. Which is not a problem. But any suggestions guys? What stuff to use or anyone that could do it at all? I think the orange leather looks nice anyways but I like to personalize. Thanks!

    T-TOP

I've seen many Zeds in the past with it. But that is a factor yes. :/

    T-TOP

Oh really? I saw one which looked ugly as it was a curved cut out on the roof on each side. That was terrible. one idea as well is the entire roof to clip off and on but stop just short of the headrests.

    T-TOP

Right so I saw the odd couple of 350Zs via google and so on with this. The roof basically cut above the seats. Now this looks cool but in the Uk this is a bad move, Specially if you use the car often or for day to day going about places. However it's something that made me think on this. See on the Toyota MR2 The roof had two panels that could come off and that made the MR2 so beautiful and to me it stands up well even to this day. With that idea in mind my crazy ideas come by and thought, what if we did this to a 350Z? Wouldn't that be awesome? Having the roof being able to be taken off and clipped back on in the same sense? This could in theory be clipped and secured from the inside and then simply undo said clips when you want the roof panels removed. Example: Now the issue obviously with this would be leaks, they can happen and are known in the MR2, Specially with the colourful weather we have over here. But we have the technology! Now I'm no fully qualified mechanic but I know this could be done though time consuming and a lot of know how is involved. But what do you guys think? I'd love to do this to my 350Z one of the days if we could come up with a plan or a way to do it without it leaking or weakening the structure of the vehicle. With the curve along the roof of the 350Z this may/maynot prove a challenge but doable though surprised no one has thought to have removable and attachable roof panels on the car. just a mad idea of mine.
  13. Oh i live in Crewe! I'll have to keep my eyes peeled. i did see a dark grey one about two weeks ago from the Sydney area.
