  1. Because otherwise you would be very bored if no one "took the bait" to "discuss" ev's, i am sure you wouldnt bother posting on an ice car forum if no one replied to your many ev threads
  2. I think you have highlighted the big "discussion", no one is interested in what Elon/Tesla says, no one is interested in what the odd journo says, no one is interested in which manufacturers are pushing ev's (as in reality they have to and have little choice) and if you want an ev, fill your boots, i am sure no one on here really cares either. The issue (imho) seems to be this religious belief that "its the future" when in reality the many valid points given would suggest, its far from being the future, all depending on your definition of future of course. It is supposition at best, based on your belief, not cold hard facts.
  3. Thanks Codel, interest to hear your views, i didnt expect you to agree of course, but appreciate an alternative to some factual points/view. Its an interesting debate about the Scottish vote, i wonder if the Scots would have voted to stay in the UK if we had said no to any points regarding devolution. So could we not have some devolution from the EU, make some of our choices rather than have to accept what is put forward by the EU?
  4. As you know Codel, i have little to no knowledge, but was doing a little research, not on leaving, but pros and cons and came across this article: Your views would be appreciate. http://uk.businessinsider.com/reasons-why-uk-leaving-the-eu-brexit-is-a-good-idea-2015-10
  5. You kind of missed the point, surely no one in their right mind would want to steal an ev and to be fair, they arent going to get far with it are they Incentives to buy a car and way of target numbers, really, thats the future of motoring? That says either one of two things to me: they are too expensive in the first place or they just arent up to the job for the majority of motorists (diplomatic answer).
  6. At least no one could nick one via the app
  7. Out of sheer curiosity I would be intetested to know what you guys achieve, kerb weights, savings here and there etc I had my previous jdm weighed and it was 1450kg, would have thought 1400 is easily achievable without too much discomfort, any target weights set?
  8. My hks is very similar in style to the invidia, coupled with hfcs it sounds just right to me, std cats and it was just too faint.
  9. Easy from underneath, the only problem maybe seized bolts, be sure to heat up any with a blowtorch if attempting yourself.
  10. Look guys, in respect, its no different to Fanny believing mpss are the best thing since sliced bread or Posrches are the pinnacle of motoring and what everyone should aspire too, he may well be absolutely right, doesnt mean everyone has to agree, his reasons are not right or wrong, they are his "choices", we now have a choice, if we decide as a nation to stay, i have zero problem, if we decide to leave, i also have zero problem, but my choice is to leave, its really very simple, perhaps like my views on the subject. I actually agree with foreign aid, what i dont agree with is the fact we are told on a daily basis we have no money and have to make cutbacks, it may sound selfish, but i would really prefer the money being put to helping this country if it can be found.
  11. Decats for loud, hfcs for a halfway house, from personally choice, hfc's for me, decats were too loud and raspy.
  12. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-16834815
  13. I have given you reasons, just ones you dont think are valid or justified The rules and regs (other countries deciding what we can and cant do) and the money it costs us, those are my reasons.
  14. Your right but i am not asking you, i am trusting our government to be able to, rightly or wrongly. You want to stay, i want to leave, your think your right and thats your choice, i have zero issue with it, whether you believe my reasons valid is just opinion, hence why this isnt really a debate and didnt want to give my reasons as no one who wants to stay will except them
  15. This is exactly why this isnt a debate, its the people wanting to stay telling the people who dont want to stay, their "reasons" arent valid No one can tell me with any certainty our 33 million a day cant be better spent, because no one knows, just why upset the apple cart, thats no reason to stay in my opinion, perhaps we are all way out of our depth with will be better off, its just opinion based
  16. Agreed, but its one of the points about whether the UK want to be part of the club.
  17. I dont and cant argue with the trade and economic position we are in, i would be a fool to try, but and perhaps i speak for the man on the street seeing as on here at least we are still at 63% to leave, its the other things that go with it as a package, who knows the true cost of them? When we joined the eu we had 20% of the vote, now 9.5%, is that right for the one of the main players? In 5 years British meps voted against 576 eu proposals, 485 still passed and became law that we have to adopt, is that right?
  18. I get the figures, we pay x to get x, but thats not what I am asking, could we not not use that 33 million a day to create better industry, business, trade etc I dont know the answer and to be fair, neither do you, effectively what your saying is, its a good thing, why change and isnt this the whole question, would it or could it better if we do change. Ultimately that is the question being asked and with all due respect, I doubt there is anyone on here that would really be able to give a definitive yes or no.
  19. So you dont think the 33million (inc rebates etc) we pay a day could be put to better use, we may have great trade, but we pay for that trade, its not free.
  20. Just opinions buddy fanny wouldnt drive a road car with a half cage/roll bar, I would, although I bet if you gave him a gt3rs with half cage he wouldnt say no to driving it on the road
  21. One example of many, currently at 60% to leave, 21% to stay, go play with someone else i am not the only one
  22. Bit of sheet metal or structural sound steel tube welded to the floor and utilising seat belt mounting point?
  23. Sure he does, but for £150 or whatever the link above i would prefer something purpose built for the job, as per your comment regards what price you put on your safety.
