  1. Generally speaking quick detailer is just a spray layer of protection and can also be used for dust removal. I don't use it for a waterless wash, as I don't like the idea of that. I use it for the whole car after a quick wash, instead of the times when I do a proper wash and a wax. Some quick detailers are more focused on being cleansers but what I was saying above is; I you have some and want to top up protection, use it AFTER you're cleaned up the gift and the paint is clear, as it will leave a layer of protection on the cleaned area in case you were a bit aggressive in the clean up and lifted any wax. It's not necessary to have a quick detailer, but they are handy. You can spend loads or a little. I'm currently trying eco touch quick wax, but there's loads to try and you don't have to blow the budget either
  2. Easiest way is a warm (not hot) damp microfibre towel sat on offending gift for a few minutes to soften, it should then wipe up easily enough. Any kind of "wax safe" all purpose cleaner if it's a really stubborn one, but still do the warm cloth first to soften. Obviously do your best not to spread it around If you ware worried you can always mist some quick detailer over the area to make sure there's some protection left, and buff with a fresh cloth. Anything is better than leaving it there, a little spray bottle with a 50/50 mix of water and all purpose cleaner in the boot is always super useful. Remember to wash your hands
  3. I'm going USA in Sept. Never thought about picking up a pro over there. Hmmmm...
  4. Is it stable enough so far? I'm running it on a VM, wasn't ready to fully commit Got iOS 8 on beta on my phone, really want to try out the handoff stuff.
  5. I never would've expected that. Every day is a school day.
  6. Irrational fear for me. Don't like the idea something inside you can't see, might be cracked/bent and waiting to break/explode into flames on some bend 5k down the road. I know this could be the case on any car, it's irrational. Agreed a keying is obviously not a big deal to fix, but even if you did every panel on a 30k car, surely that wouldn't be a CAT D ?
  7. Probably miles for me, before CAT D. But I guess it depends on how well you know the seller and the damage and the people who put it back together - could be a bargain if it's been done by someone you trust and a garage you rate.

    Bike Rack

Check out post #7 - http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/87272-roof-rack/ the roof sucker one. Not got one, but looks sweet, no paint scratching hooks or straps.
  9. Shock exit for Desire or Desireable??? Come on AF Desire, just gotta hang in there!!!
  10. Unbelievable, they think they can fool us with this sideshow stuff. Everyone knows the NSA can read the tattoo on your ass, from space, whilst you're sat down - yet an entire plane just disappeared from their monitoring systems???? Really? Think about who could make a whole aeroplane disappear in mid air..... Whilst you're thinking of that. Think about some major world leaders. Putin, Cameron, Merkel, Prince Philip, George W Bush, Tokyo Sexwhale, Ronald McDonald, Colonel Sanders, Sepp Blatter, Justin Beiber, people from TOWIE. Do they even sound like real humans? Or look like real humans? Think about who could replace humans and provide an almost convincing version of a human... 100 years ago, no one had a phone. 30 years ago your phone had a big plastic dial on the front and was cabled to the wall. Today, your phone is a mobile connection to a fantastic, interconnected network of devices all over the world, which plays games, downloads movies, checks you bank balance, orders pizza, it can even understand commands from your voice and the magic glass interprets multi finger gestures... Think about who could make those changes so fast... Today, some diesel cars don't sound like tractors, go fast and some you can't even tell they are diesel when you're in the cabin. Who could make this fantastical dream possible???? ALIENS!!!!! They took the plane, then beamed it back last week after giving everyone probes. They are inside Cameron, operating his face by wire, they invented the smartphone, they made diesels not rubbish, and CONCLUSIVELY they even invented a substance so fantastic that it makes KFC edible.
  11. If you've agreed to sell it, don't play with the buyer. They'll be as excited as any of us would be at getting their hands on a zed. If the shed seller le's you down, you've got cash in your pocket ready for the next opportunity. Worse case scenario, rent a Toyota Aygo for a few days and weep in there over the lost Zed on the way to view new cars.
  12. Getting the door card off for a look and a fiddle is the second easiest job after installing a stubby, and I'm a mechanical novice. Don't give 'em a penny, get your plastic trim removal tools out and have fun! http://liljerk.morpheus.net/350Z/front_speakers/
  13. Boils my **** ignoring lights, there's just no reason for it, be patient. I miss riding my Raleigh Actiator, first thing I modded. Toe clips, new saddle, bar ends, extra water bottle - like it needed to weigh more, heavyiest bike ever. If there was a national network of dirt tracks, I'd ride everywhere.
  14. Ecotouch quickwax is still making your desk bead, even after a month of "heavy research sessions" on the internet?
  15. Beautiful, big fan of these. You must be made up! Any chance of a big write up after you've owned her for a while? If I can squeeze in one more fun car before going DERV barge these would be on the test drive list.
  16. Chris's after-sales support has been spot on throughout. Having actually experienced it first hand, I know the value of a top trader isn't measured only in pounds and pence I was just saying a good price is worth considering.
  17. Might not pass out but I'd definitely soil myself
  18. There's some blowing on the weld where the bracket meets the cat. The chap at Berks (as well as Tarmac) have been good about it. Good news is though, I got my customs letter today so she'll be sounding amazeballz by the weekend £29.40 customs charge on these if that's in your reckoning OP.
  19. Plus any problems with them and you'll have to return them to the US, ...most likely at your own cost. Personally if I didn't already have some Berks HFC's I'd still rather get them from Tarmac Sportz for the extra £40 odd with the added piece of mind & speedy delivery. I'm having an issue with my HFCs and Berks have kindly agreed to replace, but they are coming from the US. Tarmac has been very helpful whilst supporting my warranty claim but the cats themselves are coming from California, so there's not much in it in terms of having to go back to the US for product support.
  20. #prayfortheleicestersheepdelayvictims You sure it wasn't 'Fire' by Arthur Brown? Thanks to dedicated news channels and the internet we must all have news updates 24 hours a day, non stop, about pointless things happening in the UK, certainly not depressing things happening elsewhere Edit: This could be an excellent side topic - songs on your ipod which might make you think your car is talking to you.
  21. Excuse to pic whore? Yes please Nismo Style Spatz Berk's HFCs ZSpeed Undertray - so much better than the plastic flappy OEM under tray V1 Style Lip Weapon R PAS and Coolant Tanks AMS Lightweight Pulleys Biggest gains came from this mod
  22. I rushed this out for another user with similar photo adding issue. It's only short.
