  1. Flew with Thomas Cook to orlando in September. Made RA look like 1st class on the orient express. Worst flight ever, and I've flown in Colombia and Bolivia.
  2. Thanks. The yellowing headlights are a continued source of irritation. I tried toothpaste, followed by the megs kit, neither of which did much for me. I've also had the DA on them, which was better but didn't remove it totally. I'm too chicken to hit them with wet and dry I might try a more aggressive cut with the DA again.
  3. Cheers fellas, all three products are worth a squirt if you're running dry, sensibly priced too. I should add the paint had a thick coat of AMMO Skin last weekend; which, although it doesn't stop grime accumulating, does seem to stop it sitcking to the paint and assist with the rinse.
  4. Noticed I was running out of valet pro snow foam so thought I'd have a look around for alternatives. Over at cleanyourcar I picked up some Dodo Juice - Apple iFoam (with a name like that I couldn't resist ) and CarPro Iron X Snow Soap. I also ran out of the AMMO Plum Wheel Cleaner, wish I'd bought more than one bottle of this as it's been a winner for me. Heard lots of good stuff on here about SONAX Full Effect Wheel Cleaner, so picked that up too. Been away this weekend in the Zed so I loaded up the front end with bugs and some all over dust and rain spots. It wasn't exactly filthy but I like her to be nice and clean on a Monday morning. Sadly, I didn't have time for a touch wash this evening before it got dark, so perfect opportunity to have a quick play with the goodies and the marcher and see what they can do on their own. Used a couple of inches of iFoam in the lance, it says to use 10 to 1 as foam so this was probably a bit over the top. However, it did give a nice shaving thick foam (next time I'll use half and see how the foam compares). It's got a pleasant apple smell as you'd imagine, though not overly strong. Even applied quite thick it didn't leave too much mess on the drive. Seconds after application. After 5 minutes dwelling. After 10 minutes, more left than I usually get with valet pro in the same quantitates. The bugs were still very much in place, but nicely softened up Whilst the foam was dwelling I gave the wheels a generous spritz with Sonax, which doesn't smell anywhere near as nice as iFoam. Left it on for a couple of minutes. After a rinse down with the pressure washer (no agitation with my usual woolies) I was really impressed by the filth that had been blasted off (the wheels were waxed a couple of months back, which no doubt helped). I normally wouldn't towel dry after a pressure wash as I fear contaminants, but I did draw a towel across the paint and it looked clean enough to apply quick spritz of Sonax Extreme Brilliant Shine Detailer to finish off. For a touchless wash and 45 minutes work in fading light I was pleased with the result and all the new cleaning arrivals Looking forward to trying the IronX snow foam next. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/washing-and-drying/foam-pre-wash/dodo-juice-apple-ifoam/prod_1364.html http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wheels-and-tyres/sonax-full-effect-wheel-cleaner/prod_1180.html http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/detailing-sprays/sonax-xtreme-brilliant-shine-detailer-750ml/prod_1178.html
  5. Love the toolbox cover, very professional.
  6. I've had my eye on a set of these since I bought her. Count me in
  7. Are the any aftermarket uprated engine mounts that are well reviewed?
  8. Best title ever, someone save this for the annual awards. Any pics? Edit: sorry, just messin' Looks well and that is an extremely nice looking roadster you've got there
  9. Nearly in budget and mile requirements. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201410108113941
  10. Not sure about all the facts here, I'm pretty certain the Daily Mail calmly says, "WE WILL ALL CATCH IT FROM FOREIGNERS WHO EAT MONKEY MEAT". So I'm simply staying clear of kebab shops http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2713707/Secret-trade-monkey-meat-unleash-Ebola-UK-How-appetite-African-delicacies-British-markets-stalls-spread-killer-virus.html On a more sane and serious note, it's shocking we haven't done more quickly to assist the areas being hit hard with this. Also it must be nervy working in frontline healthcare at the minute.
  11. I can't live with that level of uncertainty!!!! This is like watching 24 but one week at a time instead 24 hours straight on box set.
  12. Has this happened yet? Where's the "Dan review" with GoPro footage?
  13. Nice work. Almost out of menzerna (which I found to dust - though it was quite warm out) so these two seem like a nice next stop on the learning curve.
  14. Amsterdam? Perfect for a stag, with the Van Gogh museum and Anne Frank's house.
  15. Make a week of it and go to Rio. The party never stops.
  16. If you're worried or going somewhere remote, stick a botle of octane booster in one of the cubbies. You never know when you might find yourself north of Fort William
  17. Here you go mate.
  18. FFS!! First my grounding kit, now my bracelet..
  19. FWIW I bought mine cos they looked pretty and my bay has red bits, was a total rice purchase. Never occurred to clean existing ground points as it was purely a cosmetic thing, not an issue I was trying to solve. I can tell you they made an unexpected difference on my DE with 50k miles, not saying extra BHP obviously, but I find the revs drop off smoother on shift and idles more happily. I can sell believe that cleaning up earths would have done much the same. I certainly wouldn't have paid £90 for them as a purely cosmetic thing but I'm too lazy to knock up my own and £30 seemed not too offensive.
  20. No mate, that's about it. A few people have made up their own kits with their cable and connectors of choice. You can probably pick up the various mounting points from the install instructions for one of the off the shelf kits. Edit: I bought the h-dev one, sensible price and a pdf on the link below to install. http://h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=25417
  21. Sexiest zed wing money can buy.
  22. Mine's screwed into the bumper, but when it goes in for the annual road rash removal I'll get the bodyshop to flatten it all off and probably move the plate to the grille.
