Typo on MOT 'Aug 2017'. Might want to add some pics -

I wouldn't worry about it. Firstly, it's fairly common. Secondly, if you really came under pressure to explain yourself you could say it was an effort to impress when asked about a new opportunity, or that you had something else in the pipeline on that wage, or you were due a raise, or that you misheard and thought you were asked what money you wanted. If they've offered you an amount, they can afford it and they want you. It's not like you've lied about qualifications or having a criminal record or something critical to the job. If you do really enjoy your current role, might be worth mentioning to your boss that an opportunity has come along at £XXXXX

No, I wasn't saying that. I just strongly disagree that if something isn't right, people should live with it, rather than put forward ways to change it.

Employers and universities are already looking at anonymous applications, to address both conscious and unconscious bias during selection processes. This is just another tiny step along the way. The more you repeat this mantra that "the world can't be equal" the more it sounds like it's an objective not an obstacle.

Cool project, in for the re-build. Thanks for posting it up

Did you come up with this on your own or read it on a t-shirt? Great attitude Something can't be made perfect, so it's pointless to try and improve it. If everyone thought like that we'd all still be living in caves, eating raw meat with a life expectancy of 23 All by myself thanks Its not an attitude, its just reality and whilst equality is a lovely thought, quite frankly, its bo$$cks, which you conviently avoided by not answering who she rather be, wealthy and black or white and living in a trailer park It is an attitude, plenty of people have made positive changes to the world despite the odds being against them. Votes for women and the end of apartheid spring to mind, but I suppose some people wouldn't see those as positive changes. I didn't address your question simply becuase it makes no sense. JPS is not asking to BE white, which is precisely what your question is asking. Why not ask something equally pointless like, "Would she rather be white with cancer or black with the flu?" Look everyone she said white, so she's actually the racist all along!

Totally get your points Dan and I don't believe you can persuade anyone on this kind of thing. It's like people who don't believe in dinosaurs, once you reach a certain entrenched position - however much the weight of evidence suggests otherwise - it only makes people dig in harder. As you rightly say, educating kids is how the barriers will be broken down in the longer term. In respect to anyone being anything if they work hard enough, I'd like to get on board with that, but I don't really believe we're there yet. Doesn't matter how hard you work, you're never going to be King of England without the bloodline - unless they change the rules

Impressive outrage over, "the heterosexual, white male having it tough now since the women, people of colour and non-heterosexuals have the audacity to voice their opinions in public". I'm sorry if this has come as a shock to you, but the world is very slowly redressing the imbalance of people having opinions and being in a position to get them heard. Expect more in future. Assuming you do genuinely believe the absence of nominations for people of colour is down to simply, "maybe they were just rubbish this year, so they didn't get nominated" you're either accidentally of wilfully ignoring the imbalance of leading roles, directors, producers and other key positions offered to/held by people of colour in hollywood film production. What % of hollywood movies were released this year had a lead black actor or director? Do you think this is more or less than the % of US population who are black? Do you think the difference between the two figures is 1 or 2 percentage points or perhaps higher? Do you think that difference is down to a fundamental difference in ability to be a good actor or director by one demographic over another? Even if 1% of all films made are good enough to be nominated, the lack of diverse output including cast and senior production staff of colour, means that fewer of these films are likely to be nominated for awards, with even fewer winners. You could apply the same principle to British TV, corporate boards, politicians and see the same effect. The only arena where there seems to be anything approaching a meritocracy is sport and even there you only have to look at the non-playing roles to see the same the exact same imbalances.

Proper Wash Guide + Add Your Favourite Detailing Products
Stutopia replied to Stutopia's topic in Car Detailing
Not used any new products for a while now as I've found a good selection of things I like and stuck with them. I ordered this a while back and got round to trying it out today for the first time. Fo' Show Extreme Gloss Spray Wax - http://www.waxaddict...-spray-wax.html I'm not a huge fan of waxes, CBA with the amount of time and faff required for what is fairly limited endurance, but I went for this spray wax purely because it had two of the excellent Waxaddict Dual Pile Microfibres thrown in for free (which is what I was actually shopping for in the first place!) and it can be used as a drying aid/glossifier as well as a wax. The name is also slightly amusing. It gives you a few application options on the destructions: apply to wet paint and towel dry (drying aid apply to panel, wipe with MF, wait 5-10 until hazed, buff off (max gloss) apply to cloth, wipe with MF, wait 5-10 until hazed, buff off (max performance) I chose a mix of 2 & 3 because as far as I can tell, they're the same thing It went on after my normal TBW and towel dry. You've got to shake it like mad as it's not a true solution, more of an emulsion, so the wax will settle in the bottle if left to stand. It comes out of the spray head in an incredibly fine mist, even the slightest breeze will end up with it all over the glass and neighbouring panels. Dead easy to spread around. The cure time of ten mins is just perfect to get all around the Zed and back to the first panel (9 mins). It came off as easily as it went on, in fact, due to the cool temps (10 degrees) I suspect it could have benefited from a few more minutes on the panel, but the rain was coming and I wanted it buffed. Below are some fake beads after the towel dry with AMMO Hydrate and then after Fo'Show buff off. All in all, I liked using the product, which means it's easy to use and smells inoffensive. The car did look noticeably glossier even in fairly overcast conditions. I don't think the beads are especially enhanced in the after shots, perhaps a smidge taller and more spherical. Solid 3 out of 5 product. It might get a 4th star depending on what it looks like this time next week. -
