1. Been in for a service today at Grinspeed, cracking work as usual from Stevie and chatting cars is always better than being in the office There was a very tidy S2K in the workshop at the same time so got to have a close up look around that, very nice interior, good size for a midget like me and they're a very handsome vehicle on the whole. I can imagine they're a lot of fun. Whilst she was in sorted out the Cruise Control by transplanting the internals from my old wheel, no idea why the ones that came with the wheel I bought weren't playing but all good now. Finally got round to getting the polished plenum fitted, which has been sitting around for ages. Well pleased with it, thanks to mopedmark for the polishing That's me done in the engine bay unless a good deal on a catch can comes along. In fact, that's pretty much me done with mods. Zeditus cured, only maintenance from here on in... Just realised it was our 3 year anniversary last week too
2. If you're still battling with it, there's some info here http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/103493-how-to-add-your-photos-to-the-forum/
3. Looking good. You booked the next one yet?
4. Ten points to you I remember it being expensive now, must have been a Waxybox sample I liked. I've got two other bottles of their other stuff in the garage, so I'm guessing it was a deal when I splashed out on it. ***searches email*** Yeah, I got some Black Diamond and ICE thrown in, £25 for all three. Wonder what the other two do, they sound glassy and tyrey... You could totally get away with using just 25ml of it though, so at £15 for 500ml in the poverty spec bottle that makes it, err, 2,4,8,8,10, socks off... just twelvety pence a wash. Bargain! Seriously though 75p a wash isn't outrageous for how good it is.
5. Might need a bit more detail if you're after help.
6. Went out for a drive with the NW boys yesterday and got her nice and filthy, probably the dirtiest she's been. Thankfully the weather was perfect today so I thought it might be a great chance to try a couple of different snowfoams on my heavy soilage. Shockingly, having rummaged through my goodies, I only had one snow foam (more on it's way now! ) Envy's Bubbly Jubbly. I'm just about through the 5L I bought and was really quite impressed with it's efforts today. I'd have bought more if I wasn't looking to try the Bilt Hamber offering. The right pic is just after pressure washing the foam off. I used a smidge more than is the recommended amount, 200ml in a 1L lance. Good results, however, nothing touchless seems to get anywhere near the streaks. That seems to be the ultimate touchless test for me. In other news, whilst I was looking for snow foams I found this huge glass bottle of Glacier Wax Pure Shampoo, not really sure why I haven't used it by now or why I can't find a site selling it. What I am sure of is that it's epic. It said to use 30ml in a bucket but with shampoo (unlike waxes and sealants) I don't believe less is more, in fact, I think more is more. So it got about double the recommended dosage and boy does it work. It foams like you would not believe, the suds are thick and let the mitt glide effortlessly over paint, to top it off it has a gorgeous spearmint scent. This stuff might be the best shampoo I've ever used.
7. Yeah, changing the lot is the way to go if you have a budget for it. BM - You need cables for CarPlay? Isn't it the chance to get away from the awful cables and AppRadio interface?
8. Thanks Chet, I'll never leave it in gear at the lights with my foot on the clutch again. I'll just pop it in neutral and leave my foot on the brake pedal. Oh, heck, look at those neat outlines of two brake pads on my front discs If only they made a special brake for holding you at a stand still. We're just stuck with this useless e-brake, you know, for emergencies. Like when.. You're on the freeway. You're doing 65. It's raining. Your name is Chet. You're eating jerky. Some butthead up front changes lane without looking. OMFG you're going to collide. Do something quickly. Do something decisive. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY. Stay cool Chet. THINK. What in my car has EMERGENCY in the name? Emergency ashtray? No. Emergency sun visor? No. Emergency underpants? YES! But they're in the trunk, no time for that. Emergency errr... brake! Yeah, that's it, the e-brake. E is for EMERGENCY. Pull the e-brake. EMERGENCY OVER
9. Get something that plays well with your phone, be it apple, android, Windows, whatevs. There's literally nothing more frustrating than having to tit about connecting via Bluetooth, or cables, two foreign devices which don't like to play with one another. For me, I want to be able to climb in and not touch a thing and the music to stream straight off my phone and also read out my navigation. Also if you get one with a USB port, make sure it's accessible. Mine's round the back, which is a royal PITA for firmware updates Last but not least, plan ahead for the fact that the stock Bose amp works at some freakish voltage so it doesn't neccesarily play well (extreme low volume) with aftermarket units. If I was buying one today, I'd be going full car play and integrated sat nav - nice and clean, no cables or need to stick your phone or sat nav to the dash or windscreen.

Gorgeous Zed Engine bay plastics could do with a wipe
Will wiping the plastics make it faster? Just off to do it... haha
Yeah, of course. Weight saved is the best way to go faster

12. Never post photos in the rain, my phone gets wet
13. I think this stuff is great, I used to just spray it on wet paint before towel drying, for extra lube and a quick layer of gloss. I can't imagine anyone not liking it, except Matt, but he's mad
14. Bin the leather conditioner mate, it's doing more harm than good on your seats. It's not doing anything on my seats, it's only been sprayed once, 18 months ago One fewer stage to worry about now
15. That is gorgeous! Just checking my bank balance... GLWTS
16. Crikey! There's a '70 roadster on autotrader for only 1k more
17. Most of the product variety I've experienced has been from Waxybox samples, which never featured any AG stuff. I have used their two leather products, for cleaning and conditioning seats, seemed decent to me; but I've not had cause to try any others yet as the tubs are huge and I CBA to do the seats that often Used the degreaser around the engine bay a bit, not sure it was any better than APC and I have other APCs that smell better!
18. Well I wondered that but didn't know if you could do it yourself You can get a variety of things for DIY or, if you've got the spare cash, get a pro-detailer on the job. I've never used a pro (ooo err) but there's traders on here who I'm sure could take it on or advise. I'd be tempted to have crack myself with something from Gtechniq, they're not the easiest to work with and require some cleaning and prep but should give you some protection from UV and maybe even a small stone chip or too. Things like: http://gtechniq.com/products/auto/c1-crystal-lacquer http://gtechniq.com/products/auto/perfect/exterior/paint/c2-liquid-crystal I've only ever used their products on glass and my yet to be fitted polished plenum. I'm assuming your bonnet has a clearcoat on it, so don't see why it's not just the same as paint. With the current enthusiasm for these crystal/glass/ceramic sealants there's plenty of options. Don't take my word for it though, I'm still learning. Have a search or post up a thread in the detailing section and you'll get some advice from the more experienced members.
19. Perhaps some sort of UV sealant on top, after you put in that shift refurbing it?
20. I've seen a couple of posts about interference on the wireless ones, so worth checking they are hardened to it if you do.
21. Another fun read lads It's not as easy as I initially thought it would be, there's a lot of decent stock stuff for that money (especially if you suspend servicing & maintenance costs).
