  1. Get rid of them? Where / how? That sounds a lot like the views of the people who are inciting hatred the other way. What makes your statement any better than theirs?
  2. Totally agree. They are the hardest to track and prevent from carrying out attacks like this. I seem to remember one of the 7/7 bombers being a mild mannered school teacher that no one believed could be capable. There's no way to defend against that kind of person.
  3. Having followed Haydn in Wales a few years ago, I can confirm that it is indeed epic. GLWTS
  4. If it's the original, then that's a 13 year old consumable item. I'd say the car must have been driven pretty well for it to still be going this long? Mine is only 11 years old and has now started to feel like it is in need of replacement. By your standards I must absolutely thrash mine! If it isn't slipping and you can live with the bite point, then no need to change (It's a £900 investment after all).
  5. Just read this thread from start to finish. To say I'm relieved for you is an understatement. Nightmare scenario for you and your wife.
  6. Sorry, only just seen this. I'll sort out tomorrow.

    GT4

Probably anywhere but the 370 section Hugh! That is a nice car though. If it's absolutely mint then maybe worth 16k, but for me it's a bit steep... maybe won't be saying that in 10 years though...
  8. If you want a soft top and are going to have the roof down if it isn't raining, (A sunny winter's day for example), then you really should get heated seats for that extra bit of warmth.
  9. Well done guys! I like to think I played my part in this by not putting my tatty, unwashed car on display like last year!
  10. Never been pulled over in a car I was driving. Have only ever been pulled twice as a passenger and that was when we were 17/18... because we were 17/18 in a car.
  11. I have a list of games that i should have played, Andromeda being one of them. GTA5 has been on my machine for ages and I never really get bored of driving around. I also need to look at getting BF1 and that cool Star Wars FPS that I missed out on as well... EA take all my money!
  12. That's a shame as that's pretty much how I like it too. Maybe I'll send my card back and play Blood Money instead!
  13. Hitman episodes downloaded, GTX1070 and Ram delivered. Now the long wait until 4pm when I can leave work!!
  14. I think the mk3 might be a bit lardy compared to the mk2. Incidentally, why not the mk2 or a mk3 mr2 as that is mid engine and rear drive?
  15. So, the deed is done... New graphics card and 8GB more ram ordered. I love my PC too much to get rid. Considering the last time I ordered anything for my PC was October 2011, my benchmark was pretty decent: http://www.userbenchmark.com if anyone wants to make me jealous!
  16. As others have said, go and drive them yourself as everyone is different. What I like, you may hate and vice versa. I had a round a month with a diesel TT which is obviously a totally different beast to the TTS, but I did really enjoy it. It was quick and comfortable and a very nice place to be. They aren't exactly the last word in dynamism though and although a quattro it was almost 100% fwd and felt totally inert when pressing on. Would I buy one over a 370Z... probably not... The power and tune-ability are definitely a draw, but i doubt you would ever fall in love with the TT, where as you probably would the Zed. The TTS is probably the nicer car and quicker from A to B, but I would suggest it won't be as much fun or as involving. All imho ofc.
  17. Thanks for the responses guys. With each post my mind has swung one way or the other. That is interesting! Is there any way to tell what input device people are using? The immaturity online with the PC can sometimes be pretty bad, but I imagine consoles can be even worse... I would really miss Steam tbh, but I'm not sure your man maths is correct. Most new PC games are £40 now, Not sure when that happened as for years you could get new games for £25. Even if console games are £60, I doubt I'd save more than £100 a year on games as I don't play that often. This has always been my major concern. I have a PS3 and played many, many hours of GTA5, but I have never gotten to grips with the shooting controls. They just aren't as good imho as an m & k. The only reason I even considered a switch to a console was because of the XIM4 which will apparently let you use and configure controls for use with an m & k. I don't know anyone that has used one, but they seem to get decent reviews. As above, I would not have considered a complete move to console without being able to use a mouse and keyboard. I'm too old to learn to be good with a controller. I am one of those people. I don't even like watching Blu-rays now some things come in UHD, so DVD quality makes me want to be sick in my mouth! With the right setup (And source), there is a night and day difference between them. However, with my PC being fairly dated, a PS4 would look pretty favourable graphically compared to my PC. My best mate has a PS4, we have a PS4 and XBone at work and I have a PS3. Graphics and controls for most games would not be an issue for me. The problem comes with FPS or 3PS where I absolutely hate the controls if not with mouse and keyboard. I think I'll have a look on eBay this afternoon to see if there are any bargain GFX cards to tide me over. The PC may get a stay of execution, at least until the next component becomes obsolete!
  18. Should be around 5 hours labour I believe, so 5 x hourly rate + VAT. The price quoted may be their hourly rate, but worth checking. I was quoted £300 labour by 2 very well known and trustworthy garages recently.
  19. I came home last night from work and quite fancied playing a new game. As usual, I fired up Steam and looked for something that I like. I stumbled across the new (ish) Hitman Episodes and thought I’d buy it as I’ve been a huge fan of the series since the original… which is now 17 years old! I haven’t upgraded my PC in a while, but it has always been pretty good and I don’t game as much as I used to, so am not always after the latest and greatest hardware. I thought I’d randomly check to make sure my PC was still up to the task, but to my surprise (I shouldn’t have been surprised really) my PC is very close to not even being the minimum specs and the GFX card was well under. I quickly went on Amazon Now to see if I could get a new card delivered that same evening and to my joy, I could get a GeForce 1070 delivered by 8pm… So what’s the dilemma I hear you ask…? I decided not to order the card, even though my wife said I should as she knows how much I enjoy PC gaming. There has been a niggle in my head for a few months about whether I should abandon PC gaming and move to a console. I have had a lot of consoles over the years and always enjoyed playing (Apart from FPS – as I can’t stand (Read use) a joypad for them. However, when you weigh up the cost of a new console, game and XIM4 (Mouse and keyboard adapter) it is only slightly more than a new 3rd tier GFX card. ~£500 vs ~£400. With the console I won’t have to spend any more on hardware to play games until a new console is released. At which point another ~£400 investment will be required. If I continue with my PC, then before too long I will be faced with a full upgrade which will easily be £1000. It seems like a no brainer to me, especially if I can get a mouse and kb setup working… However, will I be massively disappointed with a console vs a PC? Any advice from people that have had the same dilemma would be greatly appreciated?
  20. The whole thought of the next 7 weeks just drains the life from my soul... I voted Tory at the last election, something that I didn't particularly want to do as I find some of their policies absolutely abhorrent. However, there was no credible alternative and I can't honestly see that changing in the next few weeks. Maybe I should have just wasted my vote on the Green Party or someone else, but the thought of Labour (The only other realistic party) getting in and being in charge of the country's finances or defence was absolutely terrifying. I think most people wouldn't mind Corbyn as their local MP, but Prime Minister is a step too far.
  21. I have a terrible man crush on AJ, I just think he's awesome, so I'll defo be watching this. Even though it's a £20 box office on Sky, it makes going to Wembley look an absolute bargain. My wife and I looked at tickets, but the cheapest was over £80 and anything remotely close was several hundred, which we thought was a bit much.
  22. I'm not sure I totally agree with this. A normal seat belt would at least offer a slim means of escape, whereas in a harness, you are definitely breaking / crushing your neck if the roof encroaches on your swede... As Dan says though, a roll significant enough to make the roof collapse to that extent is not going to be pretty caged or otherwise. However, a cage has been designed specifically to prevent the roof collapsing and if you think you are going to be doing something where there is a high risk of you rolling... badly, then a cage is the way to go. If you are just tracking it (No motorsport) then you are probably OK with just a harness bar. It's your neck on the line though!
