I also have installed a swann system in our work shops and access roads and yard ,these days they really need to be HD rather than the old systems. I have 8x 720pHD cameras with a 1TB NVDR and can view weeks of footage stored. I have used the 720p picture quality is very very good day and night does not even compare with the old 720 or 1000tvl camers systems. Also lik the fact it is Power over Ethernet witch means only the 1 cable to each camera with no extra power supply ,i just installed IP67 boxs next to each camera for junction box

Just for your info a genuine replacement nissan part is only a little over the £150 your willing to spend if that helps and was available next day

As i am in the car trade and have a fair amount of paint done ,i would reckon for the type of paintwork you are wanting and if its both sides of the panel being painted ,on top of the fact you know their work to be good that £320 is very good price .Buy cheap buy twice !!

I can confirm that the above is true ,i bought on the website and then discovered they were selling on ebay directly at a lower price however after a polite phone call back to mtec the difference was refunded to my card with some explanation about ebay being a shorterm special offer .

Also in fairness to the trader he may simply recycle the cash payment received from the OP to pay for parts suppliers or other business outgoing payments rather than be under declaring for tax purpose's there is no actual reason that the cash would have to be banked for any tax reason, its usually just easier for the companies accountants. Ours are always wanting every penny taken in banked and all payments out to be via BACS or card ,

I have just replaced mine although it was not as horrific as that one ,I bought a genuine replacement part from Nissan which was nearly £160 inc vat brand new and it came painted in black but rather like a new panel i felt it needed fully painting with a smooth finish hard black paint so sprayed it and left it a couple of days before fitting ,Nissan did not recognise it as a W brace took the parts boys 1/2 an hour to come up with the actual part number and was ordered and delivered in 48 hours .makes the whole underneath look better .

I have just fitted the exact mtec grooved and dimpled discs all round with genuine new Brembo pads ,I opted for the black coating on the discs and was impressed withthe actual discs quality and the finish ,they have only done 300 miles thus far and have sat around a fair bit as the car is only a cherished toy not a daily but can say there has been no deterioration in the protection coat at this point . Only pain is the disc come fully coated and of course the contact area has to be worn off by driving a bedding in ,oh my ocd suffered an upset with the worn finish covering my mint refurbisheded rays alloys wash them every time i drove it until they bedded in and the paint was gone. I did buy direct from Mtec then checked ebay price from mtec shop and was very pi**ed to find £49 cheaper by buying from ebay and they would loose fess from that as well,i did csall and disscuss this and to their credit they refunded my card the difference so my advice is buy via mtec ebay shop or at least check the prices and match

i would agree with others company car will hit you in the pocket on tax as benefit in kind ,i own my own company and still dont have a "company car"

The brakes are no different to any other car to work on in regards to changing the discs and pads ,just the callipers are larger on the front than some cars and have 2 bleed nipples on each calliper . The rears are discs and callipers with internal handrake shoe and drum set up I have recently replaced the full back and front discs and pads on my GT which of course has Brembos and i used MTEC grooved and dimpled with genuine Bremebo pads and im very happy with them . Im still with GLRNET on this one i do accept DAN'S very valid point of view but probably on the balance of what i could or would charge for such a job why would i wish to risk a liability issue or insurance problem ,with the consequential damage to business and reputation (im also a fleet installer ) one lost client could mean a lot of lost work. Its always the grey area that poses the problems ,say the vehicle is stacked and the bags fail to deploy police / insurance investigation shows tampering with the air bag srs etc try proving later whether a switch was on or off as it can be changed at any time and prove 100% that the failure to deploy was not related to the mod altering resistance or some such twaddle ,it would not surprise me to find they put it down to the job your charged an hours labour for ,which then burns many unpaid hours in hassle lol . I do actually see and understand Dan's point and think he would be correct i just wouldn't take the money on that one

as an automotive electronics technician ,i have to say i doubt anyone will be willing to do this for you for liability reasons among other more obvious reasons ,the only time i would entertain this kind of job would be for someone building a track vehicle but mostly that would be a full removal scenario.As they say on dragons den "im out"

Among the group i mix with both the C63 and the GTR R35 are cars i have recently driven and played with and until i drove the GTR i was sort of getting the itch for a C63 merc but not after a play with the Nissan GTR i would be only up for the GTR now although the rear seats really are not very much use in the rear of the Nissan so only the Merc is a 4 seat if thats a important ? To be fair the GTR was nearly double the price of the C63 but if its me im in for the GTR just try a launch control and then tell me you want the Merc lol

check your fuses under the bonnet located under the panel by battery and the small fuse box near the accelerator pedal behind the little panel if no fuses are blown ,i suspect a possible BCM fault .I hope not as they are not cheap if this is the case it may be repairable as there is a common fault which is a burnt track on the circuit board i have worked on one before and think i have the information somewhere if it does turn out to be the problem

I was very serious in advising caution ,but of course then it was an official document .Now interesting point is if they are no longer in use or legal would you be committing an offence ?. My mate did actually get 6mths in custody ( quite ironic the 6mths i thought given it was a 12 mth forgery tax disc)

It looks very good ,but therin lies your problem the boys in blue would construe an offence of forgery of an official document,please check the legality of displaying it as it may be a different position now they officially dont exsist but when they did a frie of mine actually recieved a custodial of 6 months for making a copy of a disc and displaying it ,although he didnt have taxx on the vehicle and was doing it for the wrong reasons

that does sound like an oil type smoke but theres no reason at all for just an oil and filter change to cause that ,did you run with an engine flush in by any chance before the oil change?( just to eliminate that as a possibility for causing any damage)

I would avoid the first new minis from 2002 to 2005 ,i see a lot of these through workshop with various engine and electric issues

What colour smoke ? i assume from the exhaust you mean rather than under bonnet?

Thats thicker oil so would in theory burn less and smoke less ,how many litre's you fill it with ?

Just to clear up the taxi bashing lol you will see some suckers on the window but glrnet is bang on the money it is illegal to fix within the sweep area of the glass and will fail the MOT and in the case of a TAXI the VST test also .but as allways there is a hole in the legislation if you fix the sat nav / PDA/ Dash cam sucker to the dash or a flat sucker disc which is stuck to the dash then they cant do a thing about it .Its a mad world.
