As i have just discovered ,you also would have to swap the head unit for the facelift headunit as it is different shape to the pre facelift ,of course if you have swapped out for an aftermarket you will be ok ,I have the whole kit sourced for doing this swap only to discover the headunit issue as i want to keep OEM i can get over the issue with another forum members help modifying the headunit but need some spare time and workshop space to get back on it but due to workload its on hold

well if were coming out ,im another mid lifer at 46

as long as it takes to undo the rusted to muck nuts on the cats as ive just spent all day soaking them every hour with release fluid as im pooing my self that the studs will snap which are captive (welded )to the cats threads and ive a new milltek coming on friday.Also allow another £35 from nissan main dealer for the gaskets and bolts to bolt the new exhaust back to the cats as they dont come with the exhaust all the other bolts and gaskets do tho for the new sections.good luck

i do similar short notice pick ups mate but 6 year old so booster with back type that folds flat which goes in flat with no issues,But defo no way you should use any rear faceing child seat big NO NO with air bags so be advised to look into it .When the second one came along ai just bought another large car and keep the Z for my toy lol

I have just done the swap to HR bonnet and am very please ,Genuine panel from Nissan was less than £300 and i paid £150 for the paint silver KY02 but if you factor in selling the old bonnet on ebay it should at least cover the paintwork cost ,I did have a fair bit of playing around with alignment etc tho to get gaps and height spot on. Now very happy tho and wouldn't go back to the old bonnet

what type you want ? rear interior butterfly mount? or maybe drill mount like a single reverse sensor type ? i have some of them

Thanks for all the feedback. I can take it for sure then that Miltek is definatly the nearest to OEM in looks as well as sound then? i am VERY worried it will turn out quieter than OEM and i do want a slightly louder more aggresive noise mainly when standing on the loud pedal ,I have a younger mate working with me and he has just fitted a miltek on his astra GSI and we were both a bit surprised how quite it is. I assume if it was a bit to quiet i could allways throw some Dcats on which would increase the noise? Another reason i am swayed to the Miltek was im sure i saw a thread some where on the forom that Abbey do a package deal icluding the uprev ,so for one i assume the exhaust is good if they fit and sell them and second im tempted to do the uprev in any case ,although not sure if its wise on an 82,000 miler ? thanks again for your input

Well sounds like the OEM exhaust is starting to blow and the rear box and usual joint is rot as a pear so going to be needing a replacement . I have allways thought if it was needed i would fit a miltek, i love the sound of the oem before it started blowing and want similar or very slightly louder but 100% deffinatly not any quieter than the oem exhaust am i looking at the right choice.?
