  1. I traded this car http://www.autotrade...s/100?logcode=p in for a GTR yesterday. Although it has 97k miles on it, I think you have to go a long way to find anything as good for the money. P.S. I'm not on a percentage from the dealer - just be nice to see it go to a good home to someone on here.
  2. Have you tried here? http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/
  3. i like that analogy all my friends who have interests in cars hate them, my other non related car friends love them give me an R32,33,34 anyday No accounting for tastes then?
  4. Actually I find the Zed an awkward car to drive normally. The throttle is too sensitive, the clutch too heavy and the gearbox too notchy. Driven under normal conditions, I would probably make better progress with my dd (a Puegeot 207 1.6GT). Only if I drove the Zed aggressively would there be an advantage. I'm sure everyone will disagree with this. Just my 2 cents worth.
  5. I might consider selling my 2005 black UK GT for £6500. PM me for details if you're interested.
  6. Welcome. Where are you? North Norfolk by any chance?
  7. I had my car aligned and wheels balanced by a firm in Norfolk called TC Tyres. Before you scream too far, they have some kind of an arrangement with alignmycar.com who I think initially supplied the equipment, training and backup. They have any agent in your area http://www.classcars...heel-alignment/ that seems to have the same equipment as my guy did. I can only speak as I find and I think they did an excellent job. Wheels aligned and balanced and all tyres refilled with nitrogen. Perhaps worth having a word before you travel unnecessary miles.
  8. Does anyone remember the days when it was illegal to drive with main beams on in town?? A clue. The population of Britain was 55 million.
  9. Looks like a citreon to me It was. And thanks for all your comments, esp. JetSet Pete whose advice about keeping lights on in the daytime I'm going to start following.
  10. Self-explanatory. http://youtu.be/6vPGwuqsLQg
  11. Looks like it's offside. PM me for a cheapish replacement.
  12. I'm probably the last to discover this place but I've just had full wheel alignment and 2 new Vredstein Sessantas fitted at North Walsham, Norfolk and what a difference. They've also invested £10k in a tyre removal machine that can do rim sizes from 10 to 34 inch with damaging the rims. And they offer a nitrogen re-filling service. Well done T.C. 13. This headlight is from a 2005 GT model and is in perfect working order. The only thing that has been repaired is one of the brackets which has been stapled and plastic welded back in place. I'm looking for £275.00 delivery included.
  14. Don't know about this product but I took mine around to a my local bodyshop and they polished out in about 3 mins. Cost - zip.
  15. Having changed to Rays some time ago, I'm looking to clear out my garage. Perhaps you may want to consider these for use with winter tyres. One has been kerbed as per photo and all of them have a certain degree of corrosion on offset. However they are all straight and serviceable. I'm asking £125 for the set plus £40 courier and packing costs. I'm near Cromer, Norfolk in the unlikely event you would want to collect.
  16. Welcome, I'm in Overstrand. If you're ever up this way contact me.
  17. They were rears. I'm assuming by "quite frankly staggering" means you think it was good. Tyremen told me 10-15k would have been good. I still think it's pretty bad myself. Bad? Sweet jesus man, if I get 5K Ive done well. With no disrespect, it doesnt sound like youre pushing the car to the limit, Ive no doubt the Vreds would be fine - I personally found them quite incommunicative and thought wet grip was average at best. MPSS are the best, I personally really like RE050A's as well. Quite right - I don't on the roads of Norfolk and I would be most unhappy if I had to change tyres as often as I change oil. What works on and FWD estate is not always going to be the best choice for an RWD coupe.
  18. AM i reading this right you were getting 27 miles to a tank? pg
  19. Some recent mileage calculations worked out by calculator not car computer - Alpine Tour mileages 30.63 33.53 27.13 21.13 (Stelvio) 25.77 26.00 29.54 25.18 (Nimes) 28.91 27.20 30.63 (Evreux) 29.61 (Thurrock) Average mileage over the 12 fillups above – 27.938m

  21. So, I got just under 20k miles on my Vreds which I thought was bad and you're suggesting that I could get as much as 40k miles on MPSS?
  22. Two years ago I put on a set of Vredstein Ultrac Sessantas which I have been happy with. Normally I'm quite a "grandpa" kind of driver but I just got back from the Alps, Route de Napoleon and Gorge du Verdon (the last two under the very moderating influence of the oh). I was surprised to find the rears are nearly bald and I certainly wasn't aware of smoking the tyres in the Alps and the traction control was always on. Fronts are still near perfect. Total mileage just under 20k on the set. Is this normal?
  23. That's interesting my mates are talking about bailing on me. Something to do with girlfriend wants to blah blah blah... Typical isn't it. Problem I have is very few of my mates care about cars in the slightest, and very few can drive and like driving. So road trips just don't happen for me. Keep in touch. I know it's depressingly a long way off but one or two of us may want to do the Pyrenees next year. I think 4 to 6 is an ideal size for a group.
