  1. Nice wheels Simon, glad you're doing ok
  2. Your thought processes are quite granular aren't they I think the police will appreciate the call, as it sounds like the car is a potential hazard. I think they will then prioritise the significance of your call and assign it to an officer / officers to look in to if they feel it's of a high enough priority (based on the significance and number of other calls they are dealing with at the current time). I think you information will be appreciated and acted upon as and when resources and time allow.
  3. I think she should get he job after all the insults and death threats, but doubt she would want it now, absolutely shocking comments, total scum Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Couldn't agree more Dave.
  4. Guys, I'm sadly going to have take us off the list for this years Wales meet. Family wedding on the same weekend means we can't attend. Gutted is an understatement, first time in 5 years we won't make it. Means there's an available mezzanine room for someone as I've cancelled our room too
  5. The 'Jiggery' I don't mind Doogy, it's the 'Pokery' I take exception to
  6. Just glad you're ok Steve
  7. I've had my 2003 JDM for 6 years and no issues at all after 128,000 miles. Non Brembro to begin with but got the brakes upgraded and painted thanks to ZMANALEX along with some minor tweaks (exhaust, grounding kit, Uprev etc). I agree with Exotic, it's worth trying a few. Remember, you don't have to buy the first one you see. The Semi auto is pretty good from what I've heard. However I had to buy the manual transmission, as I really wanted to get the maximum involvement out of driving the car From what you've described IT sounds like a decent car. However there is no harm in casting your net out a couple of times more just to see what else is out there. Good luck with finding the one you're after. Whatever 350Z you end up getting, manual / semi auto, UK or JDM. The vast majority of people really enjoy the driving experience as well as this great community. It's a fun car to own and run (in my experience) and provides great value for money thrills. If you can find a red 350Z. It's a well established fact that they are faster and cooler than the other colours

  9. How about a post 2006 SL55 AMG for those ultimate, roof down / blast off moments? Or the post 2009 SL500 with the 5.5 engine and 7G-Tronic gearbox?
  10. Sadly Wendy I didn't would love to have gone. There are a few great 928's I've had a nose at over the last few weeks on the web. Sadly they all seem to be a fair way from me. In all honesty I have a few things which are higher priority at the mo than new wheels..........despite my incessant browsing of PH, carandclassic. Etc, etc
  11. To be honest Dan, I was never a big 911 fan. I always loved the 928. or at least the look and the GT feel of it. But I took a trip up to Silverstone to the Porsche experience centre just over 2 months ago. I spent a few hours playing around with a 991 2S because I thought I really should drive one and see what it was like and I have to say, I loved it. I Having driven my share of speedy motors I really can say I was very impressed by the 991, so much so that I have been pipped to the post on 3 911's over the last few weeks. Probably a good thing to be honest, I don't need a 3rd car.
  12. Neither, if I could find a good one, I'd get a Gen2 997 Carrera S
  13. Darren, the car looks more and more wonderful every time you update this thread. I really admire the amount of time and effort you're putting in to the car, it really will pay off. It will be simply amazing when you're all done. I know it's probably frustrating now and then, but keep up the good work, you really are doing a fantastic job
  14. I'm looking forward to that bit! Will feel like a VIP haha. Booked FOS last night with grandstand seats too, and will be booking revival at the end of the month. Not been to reveal before so that will be a new experience too. The FoS is great, the Revival is even better in my opinion. Fantastic cars and bikes, incredible racing, fantastic atmosphere. Make sure you get your outfits sorted for the Revival, really helps you feel part of things
  15. No harm in asking eh Dave Cheeky b.....
  16. Yep, signed up in September last year. Just sat waiting for spaces to come up now. I really enjoy Goodwood, the FoS and the Revival. Such great events and terrific opportunities to see amazing motoring history. I also really enjoy the atmosphere at the events, its a great day or weekend out and about.
  17. I took 5 months off at the end of last year / begining of this year as I had been travelling a hell of a lot for work. I was very tired and frankly needed the break otherwise I was going to get ill if I'm honest. I could probably take another year now without having to cut back or change too much in terms of lifestyle. I feel very fortunate to be in that position, mind you I have worked like the proverbial to be able to do that. I am extremely grateful for it.
  18. Mk2 Seat Toledo 2.3 V5, which I love to bits. Such a great little shed which is comfy and has decent grunt for the commute. It's the 170Bhp version so she can really scoot along quite happily
  19. Belated Congratulations guys, fantastic news
  20. Happy Birthday Ian, all the best to you!
  21. Just bought The Grim Fandango from Steam. Which then made me realise how many great PC games I have. I can feel a great afternoon of pc gaming heading my way. Back in the day, when I was playing games on the Amiga, I was always a Sim kid. Loved Geoff Crammond's Formula 1 GP but also loved other sims. I loved playing Gunship 2000 and F15 Strike Eagle. I think my favourites were Knights of the Sky and B17 Flying Fortress. God, I loved those MircoProse games. I think this afternoon I will be bringing the Allied factions to their knees, via the means of Silent Hunter III
  22. This thread is great! I know we all have times when we get a bit "...Gotta do X.." and "...wish I didn't have to do Y..." Everyone seems to be looking forward to really interesting, fun or exciting things. Easy to forget that whatever is goin on. If you have something to look forward to, it makes it just a bit easier to manage. Fantastic
