  1. Bonjour Philippe, Vous êtes les bienvenus ici
  2. Nice to see you back G Man, sorry to hear you've been facing a few challenges. I wish you all the best with that and with wherever you find yourself being sent.
  3. I've tried a number of different brands of tyres and out of them all, I have found the MPSS provide the best grip, feedback and confidence for me. It doesn't mean the other tyres I've tried (Bridgestone, Pirelli, Falken, Firestone etc) were particularly bad. Just that the MPSS in my experience are the tyres I've been most impressed with.

    Tyres

If you're running 192 rims those tyre sizes are fine. I run exactly the same 245/35 + 275/35, I can't say I have noticed the gap between the tyres and the arches being particularly huge. Check my sig to see how my Zed looks on the same sizes you're running
  5. This is why I now have front and rear mounted 12" spikes on my bumpers
  6. Insurance company all the way, no point in messing around, it will be a world of hurt if you do. Accept the fact that your insurance may go up and bite the bullet. Take it as a lesson learned
  7. Thom, I honestly think that you will find getting insured with Tesco, using their black box device. Has such an impact on your insurance premiums within a matter of a couple of months (if not weeks) of driving a Zed, that any discount offered will be rendered worthless due to your risk profile increasing so rapidly. The question I would ask is this, is this the right time for you to be buying a 350Z if you're having to consider the cost implications of insurance so carefully?
  8. Mine is a 2003 JDM import, I insure it as a 350Z because that was the model offered by the insurer when I first went through the insurance process as that is the designated model definition in the UK. The car is however recorded as an import under the policy, which I believe covers all the requirements my insurance company required. I have also declared, to my knowledge, all modifications on the car.
  9. To be honest, 999 times out of a 1000, I just let them get on with it. I'd rather they overtake me and naff off somewhere else. Besides, I don't want to spill my Werthers with any enthusiastic driving I don't mind people being sat on my backside as long as I know they are going to or at least can overtake. If we're coming up to a dual carriageway and they want to blast by me then they can crack on. I have nothing to prove to any of them. A couple weeks ago I have some chap, who must have had an exceedingly small penis (may be it was an 'innie'?), sat up my chuff as I was driving the AMG across the Mendips. What was particularly annoying was that even when the road was clear, he made no effort to overtake. I just scootled along quite happily at the speed limit, he clearly then got bored and started driving normally. I just wondered why he bothered, maybe he wanted a Werthers?
  10. Fantastic pictures SteveM, the roads look incredible, the scenery looks amazing, what a trip!
  11. You should stand outside your neighbours and do this with the extra loot your mate gives you
  12. If you pay the sticker price on any of these apart from the shampoo you're a fool! You could knock a few grand off over the lot of them! That means more money for wheels, or indeed, posh shampoo! However; taking in to account the spirit of the thread, I have assumed no reduction in price of the vehicles I've chosen. Otherwise it kind of makes the whole premise of the thread a bit pointless
  13. Ok, not sure this is 100% what I would buy, but it contains quite a few cars I wouldn't mind having. Ferrari 360 Modena Coupe - Manual £49,000 Aston Martin DB7 i6 Coupe - £17,995 Volvo P1800E Coupe - £16,750 Citroen DS Super - £10,850 Land Rover Defender 90 - £4990 Nissan Micra LX - £395 Bottle of Waitrose own 'shampoo' Leaves me with a grand total of 1p
  14. I agree with Rock_Steady, if the cost increase isn't significant, I would consider getting the drop links and track rod ends changed.
  15. To be honest, the best thing is to try and capture some evidence if you can and do it in the most subtle but above board way you can. I would try and find out who the local beat officer is in your area and see if they can find the time to pop and see you at home. Doing that means you've made a contact with the Police, it also means they are aware of the 'issue'. Although they may not be in a position to do anything about it what's happened now, unfortunately. It also sends a message to the neighbour that "dude, you need to cut this out, I am getting advice from the Po-Po about a situation, which I would prefer didn't escalate....but if you continue in your activity. I will pursue a course of action involving the Police, you may want to think of the impact on you, your job etc if they get involved. However; if you capture evidence and make sure you report it each time something happens, that will build a consistent picture and a record which stands for up to review and query, it could also support any potential case in the future. Make sure that when you speak to the Police or see the local beat officer that you make it clear you are not aware of anything that you've overtly done causing the issue. That the people seem to have only recently moved in and as far as you know you're not intentionally upsetting them, although it may be due to some feeling they seem to have about on street parking etc. I would also investigate other parking opportunities near you, renting a space / garage etc. I know that might seem like a ball ache, but is it any more of a ball ache than some bell-end keying your car....repeatedly. At the end of the day, some people are lovely and smashing and nice and on the other hand some people are ignorant 5h1tbags. It's a shame you've encountered one. They best thing is to try and avoid escalation, balancing that against someone intimidating you or causing you or your property physical harm. You know your area, you know the community. I would think about having a word with some of the other neighbours and say can they keep their eyes open, someone has been keying your car and that you're not sure why its being done, but you may have a word with the local bobby if it continues. Can they let you know if they see anything. If it were me, I would find somewhere else to store the Zed safely and then I would buy a £300 shed and use that instead. If it get's scratched, so what. I should add that none of what I've typed it advice, just an indication of what I might consider as options, even if I did none of them. Further Edit: Also, the Police will do something about it, if you can provide them with the opportunity to do so. You may need to do some legwork yourself, but help them to help you.
  16. It's amazing how people get protective about the road outside their house / home. A road which, unless it is privately owned by them, any other person is perfectly entitled to park on, bearing in mind restrictions etc. Train a camera on it, better still train a couple of cameras on it to capture any evidence. Even better than that, buy a legal £300 banger, tax, MoT it and then just leave that there instead
  17. Agree with Alex, that looks to have take a real whack at some point. I would get it checked asap. I would also start looking at getting yourself prepared (just in case) for taking it back to wherever you bought it from and getting your money back (should that be required). If its structural I would be very concerned about the implications of that alone, plus any other potential damage which may be / may have been hidden
