    Headlight tinting

gstraw, netnomad, Didn't realise you didn't asked for personal opinions on styling, legality or even your level of intelligence. It's certainly not in my nature to comment negatively on anyone's chosen 'mods'...so I'll say, it's your car so do what you want Probably not best to post any pics
  2. .Griff. From your opening post, you've done the right thing and have been researching the 370 for months. I imagine you're now well aware of any 'issues', and let's be honest the major one seems to be the odd problem manual gearbox. Having spent more time on Zed forums than I care to admit to and as far as I'm aware, to date there hasn't been any problems with the auto transmission, either in the UK or the US, I'm sure someone will put me right on this... I can honestly say that to date I've had zero problems with my auto, I guess that's what you want to hear Like you, I was set on a manual and had test driven a couple, I was certain it was the car for me. However, I was then offered the opportunity to try an auto and thought 'what's to lose', post test drive I parked up at the PDI bay, kept the keys in my pocket, walked into the dealership and said 'I'll take it'. I guess you'll need to drive both, factor in your subject knowledge, the opinions you'll receive from this forum, then go for it! Good luck mate and let us know how you get on .
  3. Right then, all of you stop this as I've seen through your cunning plan! You're preventing me from modding my 370, I should be under it and not on this forum. Today is ARK-GTF springs, Whiteline adjustable drop links, Eibach camber arms and toe bolts day...these will compliment the new Eibach HD sway bars Just awaiting delivery of the next batch of mods now, where does it all end
  4. ...and when they're both going at 30mph, there's very little between them. The manual coupé is quoted as 0.3s quicker to 62mph, but I doubt you'd really notice much difference. They both have their good and bad points so it'll come down to personal preference in the end. For me, it was the manual 'box or nothing - not ready for an automatic just yet. It's a bit clunky from cold, and can be difficult to drive smoothly at low speeds, but once it's warmed up a bit it's very direct and both the lever and the clutch have a good weight. The SynchroRev system on the manual is pretty damn awesome too. The SynchroRev system on the auto is pretty damn awesome too..... Even better with a manual as you choose when to downshift and do it a little early for the extra roar - it always going to make you smile and the misses scowl You've not driven the Auto then, you choose when to down shift on the paddles, on the up shift you also hold onto the revs as long as you like.
  5. Nice one! ^ ^ The 'Auto/Manual box' debate just runs and runs... I think what swayed it for me was that my 350HR manual had issues with the 'box, Nissan very kindly installed a new one with no fuss. There have been some issues with the 370 manual box, no surprise really, but as far as I'm aware nothing from the auto either on this side of the pond or the other, just preparing to be corrected here! And at the end of the day I had the choice of either and still preferred the auto, It's a Marmite thing I guess. To be honest I don't use the paddles too often but when I do it seems to encourage 'spirited driving', and of course for either box the SynchroRev is a very nice addition.

  8. Should have gone to spacesavers...
  9. PM me if you do want one, I'm currently in San Deago and intend to get one so an extra one wont be a problem
  10. http://www.zshop.ca/parts/moonface-tow-hook/ Something like this? IMHO the best on the market.
  11. More thanks to Tarmac for doing what he does best...supplying more goodies for my 370 All done in a hassle free, no pressure and informative way, cheers mate To date I've had an excellent service for the following; M370 plenum, Injen CBE, Eibach sway bars, Ark GT-F springs, TS side blades. And for those who've 'thought' about getting some up-rated sway bars, just do it! It's got to be the best 'performance' mod ever.
  12. Please count me in, no further questions so just let me know the cost and when you wish to receive payment. This is an excellent opportunity so thank you for offering this
  13. Just got back from a cracking day at Albert Park, shame the safety car had a better soundtrack though...
  14. Just this minute got a ticket for tomorrow, general admission
  15. Er...yep! Am I right in thinking we also welcome Z owners from outside of the UK? Yea just seems odd i might go post on www.zclub.com.au that i saw a 350z in barley Hertfordshire in case there on there, Nothing personally fella just thought it was a bit bizzar No probs, I don't think it too bizarre so it's not been taken personally. I'm a UK Z owner and a UK forum member, now if you were a zclub.com.au member.... I'm out here for a little while (F1 on Sunday) and will no doubt see plenty of like minded Z owners. Last time a couple of PM's I received led me to shipping out some parts from the UK FOC for one of the locals. You'd be surprised how many non UK owners visit the UK forum.

  17. Red 350Z Roadster, very clean and tidy at the back of the Cheese Cake Factory
  18. Mmmm...they look pretty good, nice . Obviously you used the 370 wheel nuts as well
  19. Let me know how you get on
  20. Youtube clip above shows the 7AT in M mode with DRM in operation, it's 'on' when using the paddles...
  21. The 7AT has DRM and the 6MT has SRM...
  22. Er...you also get the wonderful synchro rev on the auto, and you get 7 gears to play with! I deliberated long and hard over which box to go for, I don't regret getting the auto one bit. I also have use of the company Merc (new model) and the Nissan box is streets ahead in terms of drive-ability and smoothness. No comparison to be made with camper vans and older Mercs! And I fully agree with the comment from Ebized, I've yet to hear of any issues with the auto box. But at the end of day it's going to be your decision, drive both and you'll not be disappointed by either. Enjoy
  23. I also had a 313 '08 in nightblue, 16k and a new box was requested at West's Nissan of King's Lynn. "New box sir? Yes I think you're right, let me find one and we'll book it in for you. Courtesy car you say? OK no problem" So not all Nissan dealers are the same The above service led me to purchase a 370 from the same dealer, and after much debate I settled for an auto...love it! Has anyone heard of any 370's autos experiencing gearbox problems? This is my only drive, daily commute etc, etc and gets a hard time all the time. I realise this doesn't help the OP in any way, but don't be put off .
  24. Yep! The boot weight is there to assist with the closing of the boot, not the opening, the latch keeps the boot shut. As per my 350, I removed the weight and had no issues thereafter, the 370 has had the same treatment and no probs there either. As per all the previous advice, if required a couple of common tap washers as spacers will help, 50p spend . Of course if you've £140 to blow...
