  1. For what it's worth I love my Z for exactly what it is, RTB summed it up perfectly. I also love my bike, Honda SP2, not the lightest, fastest, most powerful or newest but it exudes character, just like my Z. Just like my bike if you want to modyfy it then the sky (wallet) is the limit, it's very easy to personalise and create something that suits you. For me, cleaning the Z and keeping on top of the finish is enjoyable and satisfying...driving the beast is even more so! If you can find so much wrong with the Z then ownership of this car is not for you, I for one think I spent my hard earned money wisely.
  2. I need to get rid of mine too, '08 from the cats back and in top condition...thing is I'm in Norfolk.
  3. Awesome colour ...but then I'm biased Welcome to the forum, and enjoy!
  4. Night Blue? Was me! You flash your headlights?
  5. Use it on the road combined with a little bit of 'spirited' driving and you'll be looking at 3 months behind bars, a ban etc. I'd even look into 'intent to pervert...'
  6. Long story short... Many years ago I sold most everything I owned, including my beloved SRi and GSXR, to purchase my first house. My only form of transport was an extremely ratty Volvo 240. Whilst out one day and attempting to get out of it my door was forcilbly closed by 'Mrs Bucket' and her door in the Range Rover next to me. Twice she slammed her door into mine and when she eventually got out she then proceeded to adjust her scarf whilst resting her wicker basket on my bonnet. I politely asked her just what the problem was only to be told to 'be quiet, it's only an old car'... At this point I swung my door open a couple of times and it 'accidentally touched' her door, she was mortified, even more so when I quoted 'be quiet, it's only a new Range Rover'. For those in the know the 240 door has about the same mass as a Smart Car, with occupants. Childish maybe, but to this day I feel no remorse.
  7. I had a set put on yesterday, took the wheels down to ATS loose then rushed back to re-spray the disc hubs black prior to fitting the 20mm black anodised spacers I received from KUDOS. Wheels back on, stand back to admire the 'new' stance the Z has taken on then grab the keys for a quick 150+ miles to scrub 'em in. It was raining in Norfolk but dryer in Suffolk As you said they're a bit slippy for a while whilst the release agent is removed from the tyre, but what a difference, these tyres are so much quieter than the RE50's...now I can hear wind noise when driving! So far I'm quite impressed with them, just going to get the car keys...
  8. Just a quick public thank you to the following, in no particular order cos you're all top people; CS, Chilli Red, Kudos, Gaz Walker- collectively Recently all of you have given me excellent service, good advice (priceless) and very quick turn round on items I've purchased. Many thanks Rob
  9. "Put wheel back on" Pump the brake pedal to restore pressure "Drive off"
  10. £50! Just got mine done for £20, 45 mins, no scratches under fear of death, perfect But yeah, just get a garage to do it sooo much easier upon the ramp.
  11. How about 'Minton'?...when it's been naughty you can shout 'BadMinton!'
  12. I need to pay attention! Thanks for that Andy I've added my name to the list but I'm terrible at waiting!
  13. Hiya, yes should be ordering next week 1. lilsheepshagga_turbo 2. Andymc 3. Kev T 4. Rob63
  14. Thanks for all the info with regards to my original queastion, some really good gen there, I think it has to be the Stillen. Tried calling Envy today to place my order but no joy...It'll wait until Monday, anyone any idea on the approx price?
  15. I know it's late, I'm tired...but I can't find any info on this on the Envy traders section. Other than the Stillen site there seems little to go by, and they would be biased wouldn't they? There is so much on this subject with regards to choice, what's best etc, I think it'll be the Nismo kit, any problems with this choice? Unless somone can convince me otherwise I'll order this!
  16. Has anyone any information on the new Stillen Gen 3 kit? The claims seem pretty wild but even if only half as good as claimed it seems pretty good. It's either this or the NISMO offering for me... Any comments on the above would be welcome.
  17. Silver Coupe in Keppel shipyard, Tuas. Brave man to drive through there, most cars seem to fitted with a forklift magnet in that yard! Saw you in November as well.
  18. Azure blue roadster in Gt yarmouth 15th midday, several times! Blade coupe about an hour later on the A47 near Postwick, Norwich. had to rush back to King's Lynn to wash and wax my Night Blue then garage her prior to 3 weeks in Singapore and Vietnam. I miss driving my Z!
  19. Second try at posting a reply to this, think I pressed the wrong key last time...Doh! Having seen the results and now that the dent has gone I kinda wished I'd taken some pics, however... If he hadn't have gotten rid of it I'd have been pretty miffed having photo evidence as well! I know people say it all the time but a big thanks to all who post on this site, I don't post on here too often (understatement) but without fail I do read it every day! You ALL know just what a top site this is, 'nuff said.
  20. I know it was 'only' a dent and there are far greater things to worry about, but when it's your pride and joy that you've ploughed hard earned cash into... It was case of, 'sod the weather, I'm going for a drive!' with the resultant 350Z 'my face is aching with all this smiling' syndrome.
  21. I imagine most of us have been 'here' before, some biff slams his door into yours and the resultant ding that's left behind gives you that sickening feeling when you see it upon your return. Anyway, this is big thank you to Martyn Casson of DENT DEVILS I managed to catch up with Martyn at WESTS Nissan dealership in King's Lynn (top service there also), I showed him the dent and was met with 'Mmm...you couldn't have got that in a worse place, it's on the hard part of the door where the crash bar runs. Leave the car and come back in half an hour...' Long story short- The sharp ding that was there has completly gone, awesome job! Not a trace, and this on a night blue Z that must only be second to black for showing imperfections. Martyn comes as highly recommended, just click on the DENT Devils site to see the area he covers. The look on his face when he pulls off a repair like that is pretty amusing, though not as good as mine when I drove the car away!
  22. No probs, I'm pretty thick skinned! This still has to be the best forum I've ever used, informative, helpful, friendly and just full of like minded people who enjoy the Z to unprecedented levels. I've been visiting the site for quite some time and used all the available information before finally getting the Z, so a big thank you to all who have posted on here, you made things a lot easier.
  23. I've just spent the last half an hour trying to attach a pic... Anyway here goes nothing!
  24. Right then, start again methinks! My partner Jenny and I were walking through Morrisons car park when we spotted the owner of another Z just about to get into his car, possibly the same car/owner we'd seen and acknowledged the other day whilst out driving. We stopped and talked about 350Z ownership and this forum and er... that's it! Are we off the hook now?! By the way, great car, great forum.
