    Lost deposit?

Just want to say that all the advice received is greatly appreciated, I'll give it a go.

    Lost deposit?

I fully agree with the posts above, I understand my position with regards to the deposit but I do consider £475 plus vat to be a bit excessive. The panel required no filling etc just rubbing down and respraying.

    Lost deposit?

Thanks guys for you replies, to be honest that's how I envisaged it also. Just feeling a bit miffed at the cost of resraying the panel, £500, and having to lose that amount from my deposit. Seems a bit steep.
  4. I'm not too sure as to just where I stand with this; I recently called a dealer with regards to an advert for a Z, prior to travelling to see the car I asked all the relevant questions along with "barring stone chips is it dent free?" and the answwr was "yes, it's perfect". Anyway, went to see it and straight away noticed a previously 'worked' dent, not happy as I'd pretty much decided it was the car for me. The dealer offered to repaint the panel and I agreed under the proviso that it was a flawless finish. After several follow up phone calls from the pushy salesman to seal the deal I agreed to part with a deposit and paid this with my credit card. A few days later my personal circumstances changed and unfortunatley I was no longer in a position to go ahead with the sale. I called the dealer immediately to be told that as the repair had been carried out I would lose most of my deposit, I would not however be liable for the fact that the first respray was poor and the car was having to be re-worked. Does anyone know, or can offer advice as to how I stand with this? Obviously I don't want to cause any ill feeling with the dealership but at the same time would appreciate not having to lose a substantial sum of money.
  5. Thanks for thats Alex, shame as my black 20mm anodised spacers are as new...I will however be removing the Stillen Gen3 from the 350. Are the Eibachs available in black? And so the mods begin!
  6. As above, are these the same fitment? I've decided that the 350 is to go and I pick up a 370 next monday, I only hope it's as good! Any info would be greatly appreciated.
  7. I keep threatening to work out........................ Well that's about all I am doing, apart from the weekend I spent at the MotoGP...
  8. I'm currently working out in OZ, want to go and see the new Bond film but have promised the missus I'll wait 'till I get back then we can both go...not sure I can keep to that.
  9. You'll love this...I met mine when I went to the bank to draw the money out to buy my 350Z. Long story short; whilst waiting, the Bank Mananger insisted upon doing an account review for me, basically made me a cup of coffee whilst I read her paper and she 'sorted' out my account. A year to the day we got married, the only downside is it's not easy to run a slush fund for the car and bike and keep it hidden
  10. Silver 350 just outside Koo Wee Rup, been here a week and it's the first one I've seen down here.
  11. That's a good price, do you have any modifications? Er, a total of three fillings, one of them was root canal job...not nice
  12. Just renewed my 350Z online, £284 so well chuffed.

    Gearbox oil

+1 Get some oil from him, change it, feel the difference...
  14. +1 And I've been sat here waiting for a torrent of abuse, just prised 'em off the car and sprayed them with lighter fluid to appease people How about a group buy? Steve at RS? I've been tempted for a couple of years but never took the plunge. They definitely more aggressive if your car suits it. I'd be interested in a GB for good quality ones at the right price. I imagine that 'good quality and the right price' will, as always, be difficult to achieve. Personally, good quality and sod the price is the way to go

  16. Go for it! I realise it's a matter of taste but if you like 'em do it. I've a pair in CF on my Night Blue and they follow the bonnet/wing line perfectly, they don't affect the headlight beam and I like the fact that they reduce the area of headlight...I've seen auariums with a smaller capacity of the Zed headlight unit, far too big IMHO. I also need a new pair as some tosser tried to steal one and failed, managed to crease it slightly though.
  17. Nice 350 in GM with some wheels, not sure on the type though. I was stuck in traffic in a taxi, just got back into the UK and had seen plenty of 350's in Brisbane over the previous 15 days.
  18. Nope, Lifeboat Tech. Plenty of really nice Zeds in Brisbane!
  19. White 370 near the BP garage at Hale. That's the first and last time I call in there for fuel, took ages to get out onto the road Although the female attendant asked what car I was driving, then said it looks miles better than a TT
  20. Mmmm...Doh! Think I've kinda answered my own post as to why my car never gets 'spotted' I'm currently in Ghana, been here for a week now with a few more days to go Prior to that I spent nearly 5 weeks in Singapore and Malaysia and if I manage to get home for a few days soon I'm then off to Brisbane on the 16th However, when I am back I'm in the Zed a fair bit, unless it's good weather then the bike gets the vote
  21. Not me either I'm afraid as 350z GM all the way! Love the comment regarding the raging torrent!!! I see Rob you've got location as Kings Lynn....surely if you're around Scarning that's not a King's Lynn postcode? Er...yeah was King's Lynn but have been in Scarning (Dereham) for a while now, I do need to update I've had my Zed now for a couple of years but have never been 'spotted' I'm convinced that my car has some kind of cloaking device installed, to this end I'm quite willing to ask someone to drive round to my house and post my car as being 'spotted'. I'll pay for the fuel, you'll get a free meal and drink. You can wash your car using filtered rain water with the pressure washer (hose pipe ban ) and can also make use of my full range of cleaning products, hoover etc...just post my Zed as 'spotted' I've got the forum stickers, when I'm in the country I drive it all the time I attempted to jump the 'stream' the other day to go and see the owner of the white 370, alas non forum member, needless to say I discovered just how deep the water was On the return trip I just waded through it, lucky I didn't get swept away, could have ended up in the Wash.
  22. A black 370 on the A47 near to the Barnham Broom turning with a GM 350 roadster at the Barnham Broom country club. Also the white 370 I see nearly every day just across the 'stream' outside my house in Scarning, lives at the BIG house accross the way! Well it used to be a stream but since the introduction of the hose pipe ban in this area it's now approaching something resembling a raging white water torrent
  23. Black 350 coming out of Jewsons (?) depot in dereham as I was driving in, Midnight Blue 350.
  24. I've had mine on for a couple of years now and the only reason I need a new pair is that someone tried, and failed, to rip one off It just left it looking a bit rippled. Never had one detach but I've read the posts, can't see what the problem is
