Japan Racing JR11 Wheels £625 per set
rob63 replied to Tarmac@TarmacSportz's topic in Tarmac Sportz
Awesome wheels and at that price I'll take a pair as a winter set when the 19's arrive. -
You can't go wrong from there...enjoy the first roundabout

No probs asking, but as for prices you'll be best looking at the traders sites we have on here...as I honestly can't remember, sorry. Most parts were supplied by Tarmac, Clark Motorsport, and CS, all of which offer the best service and advice coupled with very fast delivery. All parts were fitted by myself, which I guess saves a fair wedge, however the most expensive component was the Ings rep lip! I kinda bolted on a 'job lot' really all at the same time, drilled and vented discs all round, hawk ceramic pads (awesome, plus almost zero dust) and some other smaller bits 'n pieces. As in the previous posts, these mods really do improve the handling, the most significant improvement coming from the ARB's IMO. With the other mods I've done the car is about where I want it, even sounds good!

I've fitted the Eibach ARB's front and rear, Whiteline Drop Links and ARK-GTF springs, SPL adjustable camber arms and toe bolts, wheel spacers etc...followed by the obligatory 4 wheel alignment. First thing I noticed was the much improved stance, and as at other previous posts the car is now a lot more 'planted' with far less body roll and more feed back. It really does feel a lot more responsive and greatly improved. To date the only part bits that 'rub' are the deflectors in front of the wheels, I've removed the front air dam anyway to make way for an Ings lip, which thankfully to date is scuff free!

As above, very happy with performance and even more so with the lack of brake dust that they generate!

In a word, 'yes'. I'd previously run the Sessanta on my 350 and was very impressed with them, when the time came for replacement tyres on the 370 I went for the Vorti. Bearing in mind that I was comparing them to the OE Bridgestones, which at this stage were well past their best at 3mm on the rears, they were a revelation. They are considerably quieter, the 'tram-lining' issues were totally banished, and the outright grip both wet and dry was also vastly improved. Above all I particularly like the predictability, with the ESP turned off they are very forgiving and hold no surprises. Now, as stated I was comparing them to tyres that had just been removed and at that stage even Nippon No Grip Slide-Masters would have been an improvement. This has to be considered when giving any review on tyre performance etc and I feel that this is often overlooked. However I honestly feel that the Vorti's are superior in all areas except maybe for longevity...you can't have everything as there has to be a trade off, the Sessantas were good for about 9K. Although I don't consider price to be an issue when purchasing new tyres, at £680 delivered I was again impressed. Would I buy them again? Yes, and I believe there is now a Vorti 'R' version.

GM just outside Narborough and a Black one near Scarning, both heading west on the A47.
-
Er, last November or one previous to that? Got to ask, how long have you had the car, how old are the tyres? Bearing in mind it only travels 2-3k a year...
-
I recently fitted ARK-GTF springs, plus ARB's and drop-links, required camber arms and toe bolts on the rear but the front was fine. All kit supplied through CS, needless to say excellent service as ever.
-
Spacers will not affect your camber, castor or toe so an alignment would not be necessary. They might affect your steering axis offset which may in turn mean slightly more tyre scrub but I doubt you'll ever notice. Now, if you were to lower the car...then you'll possibly need new adjustable camber arms toe bolts and then the need for an expensive alignment.

Professional, affordable spraying for alloys in East Anglia?
rob63 replied to dombooth's topic in Paint & Protection
BA Wheels in Norwich, powder coated in pretty much any colour you desire. They can offer a same day service, the work is guaranteed for a year and having had several sets done I can vouch for the finish and level of service. If required they'll do the inner rim in a darker colour, looks good and hides the brake dust better, I've paid £240 for a set of 4. They also have many rims on display, all colours and styles, cut in half for you place alongside your car to get a better idea of the overall effect. -
Er, I had the Sessanta Ultrac on my 350....just over 9k and the rears were gone, the fronts got changed out at the same time as they weren't far behind

Sorry for the late reply I got it in San Diego, it's been confirmed as delivered to work in the UK but I'm now in Angola I picked up a whole bunch of goodies from drilled and slotted discs to illuminated kick plates and a rear diffuser...and more. Can't tell you how frustrating it is to know the stuff has been delivered but I can't install it Doh! Sorry, just replied to wrong post. The above was re my Ings splitter x 2 -

Agree, I had a Night Blue 350 with Porsche Anthracite grey wheels (GM ish) and didn't get a single negative comment...to my face
-
It'll make no difference on the 370....
-
This one of those mods that has 'got' to be done... er, along with all the other mods Seriously though, I'm looking forward to doing it but just the time!
-
Have you seen the price of 'second hand' set? This is something I'll be doing myself in the very near future, I'll let you know how it goes
-
Now thew are really nice, liking them a lot

This is when I like the american way of doing things, take one illegally parked car blocking a fire hydrant, one house fire and the need for water... Full story: http://www.dailymail...alarm-fire.html Fair play to them but typically stupid American way of doing it. If that had been the UK Firemen then they would have smashed just the one window, let off the handbrake and rolled the car out of the way. Nah, cut the roof off everytime! Or...just route the hose under the car

Nice mods , and that's the thing "work in progress" You just reminded me, should have added GTR start button as well
-
wow,, but hang no key fob`s pah!.... .... Damn, yes got the key fobs as well!

MICRA DRIVERS: Attach a lighted sparkler to the roof of your car before starting a long journey. You drive the thing like a sodding dodgem car anyway.
