Thanks for all the replies. I was quite happy to have taken delivery of a Z without having driven one first, honestly, I've wanted one for some time. However, when the dealer gave me the keys and said "off you go", well...'nuff said and I had a hard job taking it back! I'd like to think I'll keep it standard but then I said that about the bike, the latest addition has been a set of carbon wheels.

Finally... I've been procrastinating for long enough and have finally parted with the money, I take delivery of my '08 midnight blue 350Z in about a week. To be honest it's taken well over a year to find the 'right' (read price) car and I just know that the next few days will be sleepless ones until it sits in the garage. So I'd like to say a big hello to all on the forum, and an even bigger thank you for all the advice I've gleaned from this site.
