Grundy Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Never been a fan of Celica's, until I just saw this.... Just kidding not that one! I'm talking about the MK1!! I've fallen in love, but can't seem to find any for sale! Just wondering if anyone has seen them for sale? Wondering what the price is for these. Seen a build with a S13 Engine in, and I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to put a 1jz/2jz in it! 2 Quote
Almeida1234 Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Glad I seen the other pics apart from the first one. Quote
Grundy Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 Glad I seen the other pics apart from the first one. Tried finding one on PH, but all I could find was sheds like that 1st one. They had a 1967 Celica, but I wanted the 1970's model. Quote
docwra Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I think maybe one of them is a Mk1 (TA22), the others are RA25/28's but they can be absolutely magnificent if done right. The coolest in the country ATM is easily Huxleys driftcar though: Quote
Grundy Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 I never knew these existed until I randomly googled Celica MK1 - So not too clued up on what images I posted Tell me where and how much Quote
coldel Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I love these, I am sure when looking a couple of months back there are a few for sale on the classic car ads - no surprise they don't appear on PH or the like. Quote
GMballistic Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Love the last picture you posted grundy. Looks like a miniature Mustang fast back. 1 Quote
Ewen@Clark Motorsport Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Love that shape of Celica, sadly they are going up in price very quickly, very difficult to find a rust free one in the UK but there are still plenty of good ones in Japan Quote
14N Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 What about this one? http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/car-advert/toyota/celica/1974/179007/ 1 Quote
GIXXERUK Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 What about this one? http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/car-advert/toyota/celica/1974/179007/ That looks like the one mike brewer bought and the alternator died when he was trading up Quote
Lexx Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 If you want one, you'll need to get a fresh import unless you want to pay over the odds. Jurgen had one up on his Facebook page for import a few weeks back. 1 Quote
Floydbax Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I had 4 mk 1's - a 2.0L ST, 2 2.0L GT's and a ultra rare (in UK) 1600GT, then a MK2 2.0L GT Square headlight model Got some pix somewhere when I can be assed to copy them 1 Quote
AMT Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 The first one is horrid lol. Its not an amazing beauty but in the right colour and spec Celicas are not bad. My mates got a T-Sport in blue but bought the official kit to make it look like the GT. I have seen them kicking about, rare and nice in the colour below. http://www.rsportscars.com/eng/articles/images01/celica_gt_02.jpg Quote
Grundy Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 They just don't do it for me I'm afraid The one you linked is clean and tidy and deffo not over the top. But I don't know, Celica's, I've never been a fan not really sure why. Quote
GMballistic Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Just found a few more tasty looking Celica's grundy.. This one's definitely for you grundy with mismatched wheels, ...although think he could have found a better way of routing the pipes for his oil cooler. 1 Quote
RJF Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Jap Performance Parts around the corner from me, have one, it's bloody awesome! 1 Quote
LRF4N Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Saw a couple if these at jae last year. Loved them Let me dig out a pic Quote
GMballistic Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 ^^ Love those two Celicas ~ if I could I'd have the black one with the rear end of the silver"ish" one. Quote
LRF4N Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 The black one looked mean. Iv got a soft spot for old American muscle, I love how these cars have that look but they're still jap at heart lol Quote
