Sound's cool. Looking forward to seeing some pictures before I get properly jealous.:D
Once the spoiler is finished, I will be getting some proper photos done (I know a few very good photographers)
Not very jealous :). How do you find the exhaust note on the GTR? I've always got the impression that it's fairly tame and that lots of people mod it.
:)Not bad honestly, video (love the sound in this :)) below is at Silverstone (limited boost due to icy conditions, but was running full decated ypipe and downpipes with no silencers).... I have since changed the ypipe (I do prefer it as it is now - quiet most of the time, but once you go above 3200rpm the noise from the downpipes is insane) to include a silencer as I was moaned at by the officials a little over 106db:-th_myGTR_driveby_comparedtoothers.jpg
Very nice motor.A house move is at the top of the list at the moment. Will have to wait a bit longer before this appears on my buy list
Good choice, they will be iconic and will be around for awhile ;)
Just awesomeSent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk
Thanks, love it too!! 2.5 years into ownership and I still get that excitement of when I first bought it (that I actually own it :D).... Childhood dream for me............ Edited by grahamc

Quick update.... had the 2012 suspension fitted and quite a noticeable difference, pretty much what I wanted :) comfort is more comfortable, race is not as harsh and normal is somewhere inbetween.

Also had the first stage of the custom rear spoiler done - the mounting to the chassis is done and is completely hidden :) next I need to find an aero specialist to build the rest of it. Any recommendations?

Just read through this, great thread that boot with spoiler really changes the look of the car, looks great.

will only be for track and events, so will be easy to remove

Looking forward to seeing it with the new spoiler Graham

looking for a place to do the remainder today :)

Well just back from a roadtrip..... 4200 miles in 3 weeks and the GTR was fantastic! 2200 miles with 15 other GTRs trip went through France, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Germany and back to France.

Did a single "tourist" lap of Nurburgring, in torrential rain - couple of us were led by someone that knows the track (who was on Dunlops :D). Laptime was was around 16 minutes I think, I have it on the BlackVue :D

Only issues I had was a TPMS sensor kept losing the plot and had to put some oil in. Also managed 164mph on the de-restricted sections of the autobahns and lost my nerve, since the slower drivers loved to just pull out at the last minute with no notice.

Had absolutely fantastic responses everywhere we went, the locals were great!!!!!

On a side note, my front discs and pads had started to crack (very very fine) before the trip, so now need to look for new brake discs and pads.

Thanks all

Why have i only just seen this! Wow. Amazing car! Had to change boxers twice whilst reading through haha! Sweet car!

;)

If you don't track the car, or very very rarely, go for AP discs and Ferodo DS2500 pads. Might as well get some braided lines on as well :)

Already have braided lines and uprated fluid.... Not done many track days, but hoping to do a few more. 380mm or 405mm discs?

I'm going AP 380mm & DS2500 week after this from OEM discs and pads. The discs have lasted 27k with only small cracks but I fancy a change. Should only be doing 1 or 2 trackdays this year at the most so the Ferodo pads should hold up, I hope!

Pads are £195 and AP discs are around £720.

Alcon 380mm are about £240 more for pair of front discs.

Mine have just started to crack, very fine small cracks and some crazing.... if I didnt plan for track, I would leave it, but the I think the heavy use will kill them rather quickly. Also judders when stopping from higher speeds. Im on 21k miles now

Im tempted by the larger AP discs, just not sure they are as good - slightly thinner to keep the weight down, which causes its own issues.
