Celica is a bit girly for me

You clearly don't know the potential these have. (StevoD has witnessed it's awesomeness after my bro finished his)

Plus they are reliable

E36 328i sport. Fantastic car and mid range performance and well within your budget.

You would be surprised that it pulls just as good as a zed to a certain degree.

I bought my new shed 2/3 weeks ago - 2002 Seat Toledo v5, 0-62 in 8.2 secs (actually a bit quicker than that if I'm honest, certainly as fast as a Golf GTI), leather/alacantra, climate control, multi cd changer, massive boot, great mid range torque, goes like a bloody rocket - £1600.

Peugeot coupe maybe, 3 litre v6 version, terrific looking car, very smooth. How about a post 1985 924S, another great handling car, spirited enough and with a great solid engine. What about a Focus ST, the chassis is great, superb reliability decent enough poke to have some fun

Not a fan of BMW's really, mate's got a 330 which there are some for around £2k, just never liked Bimmers

FTO or a GTO?

What about the working man's sports car of choice, Ford Capri? Classic.

Did look at some GTO's the other day, still something I'm looking into

French cars don't bode well with me  and there aren't any ST's for £2k

You know what, you're worse than a girl in a shopping mall full of shoe shops.

People are trying to make suggestions and you are being very very picky.

Think about your original reason for going budget and remember the saying "Beggars can't be choosers"

And for that reason, I'm out

Oh I'm sorry, should I opt for one of the suggestions that I don't like?

GT4 is an option, just seen 2 examples owned by friends before that have been money-pits...need to do more research

IS200 charge conversion I need to research as well. Ideally I want to keep the car as it is and not have to spend money on it to be pleased with it

As for the last 2, I need them in my life :scare: so I can then burn them

ST170s are class. Look well, are bulletproof, do 140 no problem, are comfortable and practical.

The only problem I ever had with it was when I hit a badger at 70 and it destroyed my front bumper!

Prelude 2.2 vtec? Granted a bit older than other options but you'd have change left over from 2k and with the motegi kit they still look good
