Think the first single I remember having was "Mahna Mahna / Ma-Na - Ma-Na" or however you spell it by the Muppets, think that was about 1977 but that was bought for me.

 

First 'proper' singles I bought were Hot Water - Level 42 and 19 - Paul Hardcastle
