clarkie34 Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Welcome. Good to see Andy's car back, get some pics up of YOUR car. Quote
ZMANALEX Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Hi and welcome to the forum You can not chip the VQ35DE but you can certainly remap. There are various ways that you can do this but one of the most cost effective engine management solutions is the Uprev using the Osiris software. If you are planning to remain N/A then only nominal bhp gains will be achievable. If you long for substantial power gains then you will have to go down the FI route. Alex. Quote
Wasso Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Hey welcome! I don't suppose you purchased the number plate V6 NOS to go with the car as I know Andy was looking to sell the plate separately? Quote
bounty78 Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Andy's old car is back on the forum Get some pictures up! Quote
TADDY Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 nice to see the beast back on the site get some pics up and where abouts are you in the midlands? Quote
Mark@Abbey m/s Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Welcome to the mad house. If you are planning to remain N/A then only nominal bhp gains will be achievable. But it isnt the BHP/Torque gain ( we normally get 8/10 bhp and the same torque gain) we remap the throttle to give the same response in all gears , tweak the cams map for better response and fuel ecomony, raise the speed limit and raise the rev limiter a 100rpm. Not had any one that hasnt been happy with a remap and we done a few now. Quote
ZMANALEX Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Mark, the OP was asking about power gains. and I did not say that he would not be happy. Quote
bronzee Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Welcome to the forum. Great to see cars from the previous owner coming back here. Quote
