Commander Posted May 19, 2016 Author Posted May 19, 2016 Maybe a bit camp, but who wants a TVR in a boring colour? (And I'm 6'4 & 16 stone, so the rest of me isn't camp) Should I? 2
FiddyZed Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 I must say - not seen a Tuscan in that colour before but it does look good! Only thing is - if you were to sell it, not everyone would fancy a purple Tuscan? or would they???
ZEUS Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Tvrs have always had weird and wonderful colour choices, can't see it being a problem to sell on.
Ekona Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 If you're going to buy a silly car, you must have it in a silly colour. That's beautiful
brillomaster Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 that purple is perfectly acceptable on a TVR. And yes, yes you should.
BobbyZ Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Maybe a bit camp, but who wants a TVR in a boring colour? (And I'm 6'4 & 16 stone, so the rest of me isn't camp) Should I? I wouldn't say that being that size is a guarantee that you're not camp, but it does mean that if you were then it's unlikely that anyone would tell you I agree that TVRs are generally very acceptable in silly colours (I saw a lovely Cerbera 4.5 at the weekend in seriously retina-burning yellow), but I can't say that shade particularly does it for me.
Commander Posted May 19, 2016 Author Posted May 19, 2016 I'm seeing it tomorrow. In my head, I've already bought it. Must. Remain. Objective. When. Test. Driving!
FiddyZed Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 I'm seeing it tomorrow. In my head, I've already bought it. Must. Remain. Objective. When. Test. Driving! Good luck! I imagine this time tomorrow - I'll be commenting on your 'Look what I've just gone and bought...' thread
Andy_Muxlow Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Looks great if you ask me buddy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Stutopia Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Buy it buy it buy it buy it. Colour is perfect for a TVR
raysw20 Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 BUY BUY BUY People have looked at my screen when the pic was showing some said the colour is awful, but I actually like it. I used to have a bright lime green seat ibiza cupra r so I must like wacky colours lol
brillomaster Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 will you be fitting the customary sleeved exhaust for extra loud TVR-ness?
Payco Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Great car but bastard to colour match if you ever scratch or mark it.
Commander Posted May 19, 2016 Author Posted May 19, 2016 will you be fitting the customary sleeved exhaust for extra loud TVR-ness? Assuming I buy it tomorrow, yes. I already know where to buy the cans from, how much they cost and how to fit them
Commander Posted May 19, 2016 Author Posted May 19, 2016 More pics. I'm still on the fence about the colour scheme (quite marmite!) but that's all changed easily enough ('just' takes piles of money). More important that I buy one that's mechanically sound, which this one seems to be (so far as can be said for any TVR anyway!) 3
GMballistic Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 I like it and the TVR can definitely pull it off, ...that colour on a Fiesta would look daft but on a TVR I think it's pretty nice.
Commander Posted May 19, 2016 Author Posted May 19, 2016 Also - you can't see it on the pics - but the speed on the Tuscan goes up to 200 Not that it's a 200 mph car, but still.... 350 and M3 both only went to 180
jonty88 Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Lovely car! Just not 100% about the colour, if it was a little darker, say like a midnight purple it would look awesome, sorry mate 1
Commander Posted May 19, 2016 Author Posted May 19, 2016 Ageee about the colour - might wrap it with purple-blue flip vinyl, if that has been invented yet?! Not fussed about the resale too much - should be getting it at a good price.
TT350 Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 It's a TVR. You should hear it, then see it. Both should be an aural and visual occasion! 1
