    There are many options depending on the severity of the rust areas, but some may not be cost affective. Fit new 1/4 panel Fit preowned 1/4 panel Fit arch repair section Cut out rusted area and plate as required. All parts are in stock at the minute.

    The recess in the centre of the shaft is not a hole but an engineering manufacturing indentation so RTV will not serve any purpose I am afraid.

    There should be no fluid in that aperture to leak out. However there is an oil seal on each side of the diff pumpkin which are very easy to replace, which I have in stock if required The drive shafts are meant to float and there is an internal circlip on one side and an external on the other which stops excessive float.

    Does not mean that it isn't though. The OP has a standard road car, not a race car and is only proposing a few spirited laps on track. However on saying that, an oil more suitable for regular track use which can double up for road use may be a good plan.

    I use a commercial hydraulic press in the shop for all press work. What ball joints are you referring to. Mostly any press will will be suitable for ball joint press work, however, you will require compatible plates/cradles depending on the application. Like all press work keeping the unit square is key.
