  1. IMHO best not to make the change with DVLA as it will complicate issues in the future.
  2. Another big vote for L&G.
  3. Some pix for those that are interested: Duffis Dip: Duffis Dip: Duffis Dip, hunting down the AM: Chicane: Chicane:
  4. What a load of hypothetical scaremongering If you are prepared to haggle and shop around, most premiums will be cheaper than last year.
  5. I would advise that you hook up a code reader if the issue returns. However I would also be looking at the ASCD brake switch if fitted. But it may be a fault with the ECM or perhaps just a glitch. Let's hope that it is the latter.
  6. Gary, May be a plan to just get one fabricated mate. Alex.
  7. PM received and replied to:
  8. All parts are in stock for 350DE and 350HR. Just drop me a PM if I can help further. Alex.
  9. Over the years quite a few guys have had similar issues due to incorrect fitment of the block connectors. All were convinced that they had it hooked up correctly.
  10. Others with HRs have had similar pressure indifferences after replacing the gaskets.
  11. The galley gaskets are internal gaskets and if faulty the oil pressure will suffer. Replacing the gaskets rectifies this issue. Is that not the reason why you replaced the galley gaskets ? The oil pressure gauge may be faulty, however more chance that it is the oil pressure sender switch. Get the oil pressure checked with a stand alone gauge. And remember that you do not have a problem until you have a problem. PS: Nissans "own" 5W30 is low quality oil.
  12. Best to get an external oil pressure gauge hooked up to get a true oil pressure reading. Replacement of faulty galley gaskets will significantly increase the oil pressure. What oil brand and viscosity are you running and also what oil filter ? Should be safe to drive to Abbey, but talk to them first.
  13. Not looking good:
  14. to the forum
  15. to the forum.
  16. Why would you want to lever it down. When the bush fails the arm usually drops and rests on the lower sub frame resulting in a knock. The car is safe to drive in its present state.
  17. Very easy to change, however when the bush fails, the arm usually drops down and rests on the lower frame.
  18. FAKE: However looks tidy enough.
  19. Nah, if you are quick you can stuff a couple of rags into each opening once you pull the hose which will stem the loss of coolant. Carry this out when the coolant is cold.
  20. I am not quite following what you say in your original post. I would definitely drop the car and try driving it to establish if you really do have a problem. Nothing else was damaged when we had the prop issues. What dif are you running ?
