Tyres or brakes? I think you'll find it's the brakes, and this could indicate a sticky caliper. Tyres always feel warm after use, but check the treadwear on them. If it's fine, then don't worry about it. If one looks a bit worn on one edge then you need an alignment.

Galaxy Tab is an utter piece of shite. Yes, it looks pretty, but with input lag you can measure in months and the stunning ability to crash randomly whenever it feels like it or (and this is great) leave you with a keyboard that doesn't actually type anything, it's not that useful. Flash is dead, Adobe themselves have said this, HTML5 all the way now. I binned my Tab about a month after buying it and bought an iPad again, best thing I ever did. Until Android stuff alters the way it processes inputs to remove the lag (I.e. never), I will never consider one. Sensitivity is everything on touchscreen devices. No help I know as you specifically don't want an iPad, I just felt like a good rant

We get what you mean, but just because everyone does it doesn't make it right. If there is not enough space to park on the road without blocking traffic, then there is not enough room to park. People should've thought about that before buying a house down there.

To be fair, it could've been more careless than vindictive. It happens sometimes, and given that the workmen at least tried to clean it off means they did care about what they did. I'm not saying it's right, and I'd be peeved too, but sometimes people can be thoughtless or under a great deal of pressure to get jobs done.

Never heard of the input shaft failing on 987s, I assume it's the same with the 997.1 cars too and the 996s as they share the same engine and 'box. I'll have to look into this, thanks for the heads up.
