  1. But of course, it's probably the least I can do after getting everyone* excited over this thread! *Well, maybe one or two with feigned interest.
  2. RESULT I didn't buy it. For the record, it was a Fender Jagstang in Sonic Blue. It finally went for £425, I was going to make a cheeky punt at £350 and then buy both but it shot up in the last few seconds so I didn't even bid. In my heart, I've now moved onto the Fender Kurt Cobain Mustang Signature Edition and shall be purchasing that ASAP. It's the right thing I think, and it's a much better guitar too. Thanks for playing though folks, all views were really appreciated and helpful, even if I'm a big pussy and didn't buy the original item in the end!
  3. No... I'm still undecided! Maybe I should just buy both and keep the one I like the most.
  4. I would be disappointed in you if you weren't!
  5. Prbably a god idae  One I want or the one I should want... That's a pretty good way of looking at it, cheers dude.
  6. That's exactly what I'm now thinking too. And you know exactly what I mean, too.
  7. My old man regularly fills up with more than £100. But then his Hummer does have a 120 litre tank. At nearly £1.50 a litre, you work out how much that is
  8. I am back! I have seen the guitar, and it is lovely. I was too shy to actually play anything on it as per bloody usual, but then for me it's more about what it is than how it plays. Trouble is, I now have a new issue. Do I buy this, the guitar I've wanted for 20 years, or do I spunk a little bit more and get something that may possibly be actually better. It's only another couple of hundred quid, and to be fair is probably worth it, but it's not quite what I've wanted for years. It is awesome though, and would arguably be the smarter purchase. FFS I only have like an hour to decide before the auction closes! Basically, do I buy the guitar that my hero designed and may or may not be a bit of a stick-a-badge-on-it-and-it'll-sell, or do I buy the one he actually uses? Would you buy the Kirk Hammet ESP, or the ESP that Kirk Hammet actually uses?
  9. Passion? M3? LOL Sure all that passion should keep you comfort while a 335i fly's past you... I'm sure a 335i is quicker in a straight line, but there's much more to owning a fun car than outright speed. Something that's well balanced and rewarding to drive is a more attractive proposition than something that's only giving you fun on the straights. Even if the E46 was slower on the twisties in the real world, which it isn't, it would still ultimately be more entertaining.
  10. I can't bear any more jokes! Wait, wrong animal.
  11. More if it's the stuff that goes off very quickly and doesn't require any baking or specialist paint booths to achieve the same result as a standard paint.
  12. Have had them in the MR2, VXR, 350Z and I still use them in the 911, the current design is much better than the early ones. They do hold your hips in and is much preferable to just the interia reel on its own, but they're not a patch on a proper harnesses.
  13. Who cares? 335i is a repmobile with a decent engine in, M3 is a beautifully crafted car with a peach of an engine and some of the best driving dynamics I've ever had the pleasure to drive. I'd have an E46 M3 over an E92 M3, much more passion and soul about it IMHO.
  14. Drive both and decide. Very, very different cars. E46 CS for me though, if a CSL is out of budget.
  15. I disagree with your first statement, but agree with the last. If the rules enable someone to claim benefits, then the answer is to change the rules. I don't necessarily blame layabouts sitting at home with 20 kids doing nothing, I blame the rules for letting them get away with it.
  16. Cease this foalishness!
  17. Exactly. If you leave a loophole, expect it to be exploited. I'm just annoyed that we don't have a big enough company and that there's not a lot for us to exploit!
  18. I'm a big handbag-toting pussy
  19. No DFS sales 364 days of the year??!!
  20. True, and it's a conversation I've had with my other half too, but I have to give it to her that it works.

    "Fix A Flat"

The biggest issue is that all the weight there is very low down, which is ideal for handling purposes so when you remove it the rear comes up, reducing grip. Add in that removing rearward weight any way will push the weight balance forward... You can get round it, and an experienced competent drive would use the less weight to their advantage, but for the road I'd much rather have a spare in to get me home if I need to.

    "Fix A Flat"

I have to, as the 911 has no spare. I will never, ever use it though: If I get a puncture, I'm calling the brakedown people. Removing the weight from the boot of the Zed isn't a good idea unless you're absolutely sure about what you're doing, as you'll end up with a car far more prone to oversteer. I always left mine in.
