Lazy ass reporting at it's very worst. Scotland always has snow in Oct every year, so the fact they're forecasting snow in parts of Britain then is just bloody obvious. Chap on SELOC mentioned they had snow around the Glencoe area over the weekend, so really Britain has already been hit by snow. In other news, apparently Britain may be hit by rain, wind and some sunshine over the next few months too. Whatever next!

rFactor has plenty for download, if you've a PC. If you want to learn the tracks, you could do worse than buy the 2013 UK Circuit Guide. I've got the '09 edition and it's brilliant, a must-read before I drive a new track or just to refresh my memory about the lines if I've not driven there in a while.

Okay, maybe I wasn't clear enough on my original post, and this is now descending into the realm of "I only use this!" and "Nothing else will do for my Zed!". So, for absolute clarity: Any fuel that conforms to BS 7800 is suitable for running in the 350Z. In an emergency you may use fuel that conforms to BS EN228, but you must limit yourself to low revs (3k rpm and below) else you can damage your engine. This only applies to the DE engined cars, as the HR cars can adapt for the lower RON fuel. Any fuel that meets BS 7800 can be used in the 350Z. That includes all BP, Shell, Tesco, Texaco, Gulf and whoever else I've missed super unleaded variants.

BP Ultimate will be fine. Anything marked as Super Unleaded will do.

I did when I was a kid, like 11 or 12. I stopped when the horse behind mine bit my one's arse, which sent mine off into a mad gallop and threw me. Missed yours MPSS have a special inside section dedicated to wet weather driving, although tbh pretty much any decent tyre will be fine for driving in wet and cold. Obviously winter tyres are significantly better in sub 7c temps, but you have to live with increased noise and reduced feel and performance in the proper dry to compensate. Honestly though, millions of drivers for decades have managed to survive British winters without needing winter tyres, and you sound like a pretty sensible person by not using yours in the snow so I reckon you'll be fine.

Flog the fronts to offset the cost, will be more than worth your while. That's what I do when I change brands.

With turbo torque and an easy to drive FWD chassis, you'd be surprised. All the RS Renaults are immense B-road blasters.

But it is, if you're running a 350Z. If you can afford the fuel + VED + insurance +servicing, then making sure it's on decent boots is the least of your problems! But anyway, without going down that route I would say that the Avons are the best choice there by some margin. I wouldn't even consider the other two. I would chuck in the Falken FK453 to the mix though. Also, Ekonda is an awesome name, I may change mine to that!
