  1. Just a quick query, i used to own an old MGB years ago, and the local club used to run meets where people used to meet at a pub, nothing too official, and you could just turn up and have a drink , or just be nose at other cars, does such a thing exist for 350z or 370z owners in the bournemouth , poole , or southampton area? cheers matt
  2. cheers for all the messages, does anyone have the number of the zedshed!! dont worry i have not broken it, but always usful to have in the mobile. cheers ps just pulled over for a cuppa, got all the way over to salisbury , and still smiling!!! alot!
  3. hi, i just wanted to say a thinks to all the guys , and gals who helped me with advice when buying my 350z, loads of the tips were really helpful and i had to walk away from a few, but eventually found the right one, i am now the proud owner of a 2005 black gt roadster, or convertable, still not sure what is the correct term. Any way the sun is shining the roof is off and im off out to get to know her!!! now all i need is someone local who can recommend a good garage /specialist when she need a service in 6 months and i will be a very happy man! Thanks again Matt ps im near Bournemouth if anyone does know anyone good to look after her.
  4. its a 55 plate, so im hoping the lower tax bracket , so no bonnet bulge!!! i will check the petrol situation , and make sure its run on the good stuff! Im looking at it in weymouth at about 8 on thur if anyone has a spare half hour, just a thought, if not the advice has been great , keep it coming, should i be worried about the clutch , how much is a new one ? and my last car was a tt , ( i know , im sorry!!) , so am used to a feather light clutch , so what should feel for, high bite point , low bite point , or shall i just drive and see how it feels and go with my gut, cor this is hard work trying to buy a proper mans car!!!!!
  5. Hi I have read all the buying guides on here and am now off on thursday night to hopefully put my deposite down on my 350z convertable, what i would like is if someone can just give me 5 points to make sure the car is a good one, i have seen the service book and its all up to date, but what else should i listen for , look out for, there is mention of a noice to listen to from the rear axel , what does it sound like if its good or bad! help!!!! thanks matt
  6. they seem popular guys!! , how much is the clutch and flywheel, do you know , and when i test drive her, should there be much travel in the clutch ?, there is alot to learn! cheers
  7. thanks for that , i will look out for them , how close are they , as there seems to be a lack of specialists around the bournemouth area! cheers
  8. hi there , im sure there are threads about this on here already, but thought i would try and get the advice i need, im from bournemouth and im looking to get a 350z in the next month, are there any local companies that i can speak to re: advice, or is there even a service where is they were paid they would come and check over the car i have shortlisted? i know the AA will do it , but i would of thought it was a more specialised service. If this does not exist, is there any advice anyone could give me to try and spot a good car, im no mecanic so some pointers would be good, i know i have to listen for knocks from the rear axel, but thats about all. Also is a 350z has done 70k miles, and has the original clutch is this bad news? Phew thats it for now i think! cheers matt
