  1. Meh, I couldn't care less if people disagree with what I say, that's up to them and each to their own and all that. It's when people disagree without offering a single reasoned response that does my nut in, but then I always have trouble communicating with the terminally stupid. I just don't have the patience for them. I'm not sure why me asking for help on my Euro trip on PH, then doing it, then sharing my experience based upon knowledge I now have is a bad thing though. Is that not what we as decent human beings do, offer our experiences with others to help them learn more? If that makes me a bad person then so be it. Same goes with tyres, or chassis tuning, or gaming, or eating mass amounts of greasy take-outs: If I'm interested in it and happen to have learnt a few things along the way, then why wouldn't I share that with others? Sure, you can disapprove of my tone sometimes as I know I can come across a little high-and-mighty in places, but I can promise you that if you look at where and when I do it you'll see that either the OP was irritating, rude, stupid, or a combination. I have NEVER been outright brash to someone who was polite. Ever. Go check if you like. Hell, even my first response on this thread was measured and reasoned, until someone came along and queried it without offering anything approaching a sensible comment.
  2. All of which are good reasons we, as trackday goers, should be making every effort to reduce the noise from our cars when we go. Don't put an exhaust on which is close to the limit, just put the stock one on or add extra silencers: No point being the loudest or best-sounding on track if you're not going to win anything. Don't give the Nimby's any ammo.
  3. Stop modding then. You don't have to, it's not addictive like a crack habit, it's just you want shiny pretty things which you can't afford. Stop it, it's that simple.
  4. Actually, I've no idea what my ancestors did, as not only was I not there but I'm also adopted. True story, kids.
  5. Lol, chill out bean sprout! Nazis had the right idea, just the wrong group of people.
  6. Mine's the opposite, she picks the cheap stuff. When she's paying.
  7. Yup, common sense. There will of course be a black market in vouchers, but I still say it's a better idea than cash.
  8. It's a good idea, though. The slaughterhouse gun, not the dole idea thing.
  9. Well obviously there could be exceptions, as you had things sorted until it went belly-up, I'm talking more about those on minimum wages or on benefits who have kids and clearly cannot afford them. Can you adopt if you're living on benefits? Not you personally, it's a more general question. If you can't, then that would seem to indicate that the state agrees with me.
  10. Really, I'd rather see child support money pulled than this. If you can't afford to have kids, then don't have them in the first place.
  11. It's just a tax. They'll get it one way or they'll get it another.
  12. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-24327470 Slightly better link. Common bloody sense, really. No worky = no benefits.
  13. Hookers appear at night in the run down locations, so think the hood and industrial estates on the edge of town.
  14. I don't kill my hookers. I have a favourite who I go back to every day for some sneakytimes.
  15. Why would you do 60 on a motorway in a car? Must admit, I'd rather do the commute in a fun car than a boring one, but it doesn't make financial sense at all.
  16. Only a lock screen bug, and adds Greek keyboard support. Bit rubbish, really.
  17. So you disagree with me about the cars, yet haven't driven 2/3rds of the ones I mention. Man, I wish I could do car reviews from the comfort of my couch, would make life so much easier. I appreciate the comparison between myself and Harris though, thanks. I do like his style of writing, and I guess that probably shows in my own at times. I enjoy writing about cars, and occasionally I get some positive comments on those pieces from others on here about them, but you can't please everyone. Everyone else has given their opinion on the cars, like I did, and yet you didn't feel the need to criticise them. If you could point me to the part of my post where I say that everyone else is wrong and that my opinion is the only one that matters, that would be great. Both the Evora and the 911 are 2+2s, just like the GTR. The seats in the GTR are slightly more useful than the other two, but then I wouldn't be the person sitting in the back in any of them so I didn't really feel that was a pertinent point to pick up on. I guess if the OP had asked "Which car would you choose out of the Evora S and the GTR, and seat space in the rear is the priority?", then I'd have given a different answer. The boot space of the GTR is approx 250L, the Evora 160L, and the 911 135L. Again, I didn't realise that practicality was an important consideration for the OP, else I'd have put the GTR ahead. As it stands, and if it was my £50K, I'd pick the Evora S as it would suit me better. Both cars are stunning in their own right, and both have some glaring issues that has stopped me buying one, but I would pick the Lotus. I'm sorry that offends you so much. Now, let's see your objective comparison between the two cars mentioned before you carry on criticising mine, shall we?
  18. Anyone else done that mission with Trevor yet? Any thoughts on it?
  19. So what would like me to have said? And what did you disagree with exactly? What did you think of the cars when you drove them?

I've not tried a manual, and the DCT version I bought for 24 hours just wasn't that exciting for some odd reason. 400bhp, V8, well built, good looking, but still didn't float my boat. I have no idea why.
  21. Or give him to me and I'll rag the arse off him every chance I get, just like every good Zed deserves Yeah, best give him to Hugh I reckon.
