Curb weight of a 370GT is actually 1526kg, taken from the Nissan UK website.

Lol I hope you don't do your wheel nuts to that spec, they do have a torque value of their own! I would fit the spacer with the same torque as the wheel nuts, i.e. 115Nm or 85 ft lbs.

968 would be a good car, also a 928 with the V8

Come to think of it, you may well be right as that's ringing bells. The only reason I never held onto mine was in case I twisted the frame which could cause the glass to shatter, but I may be wrong on it being structural at all. Exige glass is the same as Elise & VX glass AFAIK though, unless they updated it for the launch of the MY10 Exige and that's more of a nickname than anything.

Might be a G35 I was on about then The 4 door 350Z thing that's pig ugly. Almost always in silver. 3-series of some kind would be my choice. Not going to keep harping on about the VX thing, but the windscreen is the same toughened glass as any other windscreen ever. The surround is part of the roll over protection too, so incredibly strong. The R33 and Celica are very old cars in terms of crash protection, and cabin intrusion will be much worse than with the ally tub like-for-like. Seating position front to back death stats may be correct, but I bet they apply equally for adults as they do for kids. I'm not trying to be argumentative on purpose (purely by accident! ), but the truth is that you wouldn't drive as hard with a kid in the car as you would if there were adults, so you're immediately less likely to have an accident that's your fault. You'll never be able to account for the idiocy of others though, regardless of what you're driving. If safety is your worry, then I'd get something as big and as modern as possible like an SUV.

Sorry, the VX guys are right. The Elise tub is incredibly safe, more so than the R33 or Celica you mention. G37?

You know you're singing that now in your head

Not if you assume both drivers are giving it full beans. If they're doing 50-70 tests in 4th gear then fair point, but not at redline with WOT. It's top end figures that are really dictated by power and aero, as well as gearing. Most normal fun stuff is only geared/powered to around 160. Watch this week's Harris 991TT vs 12C vid for proof of just how much difference power makes when you get out of the realms of 'normal' speed.

Also, buy her some blu-tac for Xmas.

Has she not gone to POPLA yet? That's the next step, and I guarantee that it'll be sorted there. And you can no longer throw the court stuff away, they can legitimately go after the registered keeper now (providing certain conditions are met between land owner and management company).

GT86 isn't less than £15K sterling though

Check the coolant level, too.

Why do you think you want/need lowering springs? If it's purely for the looks then fair enough, however if it's mainly handling (which it looks like it is judging from the rest of your post) then I would personally just do the ARBs then see how you go. That was what I did with mine, and it gave me a more controlled ride but without losing any of the suppleness that the OEM suspension provides. If I was doing it again, I'd still do the same thing however I wouldn't even waste my money on springs: That cash would go far better towards a new full damper & spring set. You can go full coilover if you wish, but even retaining the stock layout with aftermarket items would be the great leap I think you're after. Do the brakes first though, that'll make your car far quicker than any suspension mods. If that ultimately makes a difference, of course.

I remember having a play with a Citroen AX when I owned the VXR220. It pulled up alongside me, making a hell of a racket, so when the lights changed I nailed it as did he. I had 260bhp in a car weighing around 800kg, so around 325bhp/ton, and expected to leave him for dead. I didn't. We came round the roundabout, did the same thing, same result. One more time and this time I backed off as did he, we got level and I gave him a massive thumbs up for having a proper sleeper. No racing, no egos, just a bit of fun between two car nuts. Those old cars (including the Jetta) weigh a fraction of what modern day cars do, so you don't need massive power to keep up in a straight line with modern cars when moving. Zed has a ratio of 190bhp ish, Jetta probably weighs about a ton so only needs 190bhp to match a Zed. It can happen, but it's rare. The reality is that one person is usually being a bit of a tit, which I guess is where the presumptions come from.

Unlucky Suits I played mine last night to wind down a bit after a crap day at work. Fired up Forza to collect my drivatar winnings, and discovered I'd been given an RS7, a Fiesta ST, a Fezza LF and the Lotus F1 thing for free The F1 car is a bitch to drive, but keeping flat through Eau Rouge is amazing in cockpit mode. I've also got the RB9 skin for it too. I'm enjoying FIFA as well, even though the FUT bit is horrendously complicated for someone like me who has never played it before.

Only if the period of cover hasn't started yet, else there will be a cost to move.

'Were' does not mean the same thing as 'where'.

Given that even I know to avoid WLMG, I can't understand why you went there in the first place Adrian? But yeah, leave it alone now. They will not and cannot give you evidence that the employee has been sacked, so walk away and take your custom elsewhere. -
Not for having a CEL on, they couldn't. There's no law that says you cannot drive a vehicle with a CEL lit.

I have proof of my previous NCD (27 years) from Admiral ... Privilege (my current insurer) were not interested Then Privilege are at fault. I keep previous NCB letters too, just in case of a situation like this, and I simply wouldn't go anywhere that was playing silly buggers. Given that insurers only ask about your last 5 years worth of driving history, you'd have thought that any NCB over that period of time would be irrelevant.

I just seem to get very lucky with when they're announced and my proximity to the PC at the time. I'm usually down for every one, and then if I have to pull out I just remove myself from the list.

It's a really wonderful experience, it really is. I've no doubt that the PS4 is more powerful, and as an outright gaming machine for the multiplats a better option. I do doubt that it will be able to make you feel as warm and snuggly as the Xbone does though. Ryse is 900p. DR3 is only 30fps. Neither of which matter a jot when I'm sat there and the volume is cranked and it still looks miles better than my old 360. Tech specs be damned, but then I was never one for chasing every last frame when I used to game on the PC. Maybe I do have the technically inferior product, but if it can keep me this content then who cares?

I would have a word with Clarke Motorsports, I'd be amazed if they didn't carry something like that
