  1. I nearly mentioned that myself, but then I've not used the standard seats with harnesses so don't know how they fit with regards to shoulder straps slipping off. I ran the MX5 with a stock seat and a harness for approx 2 miles before I decided that it really, really wasn't a good idea at all, but then the standard Elise seats are absolutely fine with them so it's very application dependant. I prefer harnesses for road use too, although it can make reaching some controls a little awkward (like the stereo and things like that), but again car dependant.
  2. What price your life? That's what we're talking about here, the safety straps that will protect you in case of an accident.
  3. Those calipers are knackered. They change colour on purpose so you know you've overheated them: See Greekman's ones for further proof. Well, they may not be completely shot, but I'd be stripping them down and replacing the seals and fluid at the very least. I'd also be changing pads definitely, and examining the condition of the discs closely. To do that takes a serious amount of heat, and considering how important the brakes are then you really don't want to take a chance. Possibly a sticky caliper could have caused this (although on both sides is unlikely), and I'm assuming the discs are the right way round since you did a track day previously on them without issue.
  4. Think about the forces that will be applied in the event of a crash, and the direction those forces are going to travel in. If you mount the lap belts to that part of the seat frame, not only are you weakening the seat frame itself but also you'd be pulling the forces the wrong way IYSWIM. Use the existing seat belt mount point with a longer bolt on one side, then drill and weld a threaded plate to the transmission tunnel or the floorpan for the otherside.
  5. Wot, no pics of my porker again either?! The VX was orange in fact, and it was beautiful. The owner had painted the interior to match on the door cards, looked stunning.
  6. Georgie was absolutey useless. She didn't give a damn about the sport, and she's completely dead in the eyes. I'm very, very glad they got shot of her. On the other hand, Simon has grown into the role. He's more his own man now, rather than a Jake clone, and he's much better for it.
  7. Is no.9 out of focus? Not compared to no.10 of course, and I hadn't noticed it on my iPad, but it looks quite bad on the laptop.
  8. Sky's coverage and access to the teams and drivers has been remarkable in improvement this year. It was good last year, but now they are significantly ahead of BBC in terms of content as well as presentation.
  9. I hate that one. Looks overprocessed and the massive yellow haze on the LHS distracts the eye from the overall composition, which is actually very good. All IMHO, IANAP etc.
  10. Even though you have the controller in your hand? I would use it a couple of times but the novelty would wear off pretty quickly, I just don't see it as a selling point, but I can see why some will, I never went for 3D TV either Yes. If you have the controller in your hand and are in one game, you have to press the Xbox button, then move the cursor to the games + apps tile, then click that, then scroll to the game you want, then press the button to load. It doesn't take any longer to do that than it used to on 360 or PS3 (in fact it's quicker as the menu structure is better), but I can be in the middle of a race in Forza then simply say "Xbox go to FIFA14" and it'll load instantly. And I do mean instantly. It shouldn't be a massive selling point, however it's critical to the overall experience. I can see why you're not so keen, I'm anti-3D as well so I know where you're coming from on things that add nothing to the overall experience, but this genuinely does. It's hard to overstate just how integrated this is, and while it does feel dumb as hell at first talking to your Xbox, give it a day and then it becomes natural and you stop speaking in a fake accent and speaking normally at normal volume. I didn't say it wasn't an important game, nor a pretty one, but it was absolutely dire to play. All the other games mentioned still remain classics and are great to play to this day, RR on the other hand is simply poor.

Completely agree, even down to the Maser comment. As a bit of noise to advertise with, it clearly does the job. However, imagine popping to the shops in that, and it making all that racket: It's going to get embarrassing and irritating after a while. We all like a good bit of sound, but that's just daft. Aston has got the balance right in the V8V, Jag just going for OTT.
  12. Bit harsh, no. 2 is a great shot.

  14. One definitely deserves to
  15. I could get rid of those in 10 secs for you.
  16. Someone likes the lens flare effect in PS!
  17. It's quicker to switch games that way than go via the menu.

Great car, still miles too expensive. V6S coupe now the one to buy, I sensible specced one to a fraction over £60K.
  19. YOUR CAR IS EJACULATING!!!11 Just kidding. It's normal.
  20. Always do all engine/breathing related mods before any kind of ECU alterations. Bit late now, but worth bearing in mind for the future
  21. I bet he's got bonnet raisers on his own car at home!
  22. Maldonado is a knob.
  23. Leave it as-is. iLittle sounds stupid, ioneabee is actually a bit clever as far as daft interweb names go.
  24. The Forza Drivatars annoyed me at first. They're very much like racing against bumper cars, and they brake in the most random of places which makes drafting overtakes impossible without rewinding. It was frustrating as hell. Then it hit me: That's exactly what it should be like. I'm so used to AI who keep to the racing line and only rarely go a-wandering like once per 10 lap race. This really feels like I'm racing real people, and it will only get better with time. I adore it muchly.
  25. F*ck off with Ridge Racer, it was absolutely f*cking awful! Pretty yes, but a classic launch title no. It's like Ryse in that respect.
