  1. No excuses, we demand RESULTS NOW BITCH!!!11
  2. You don’t buy a lotus because they’re practical, or usable. You buy one because they have the best damn steering and suspension of any car you can buy today. They’re for driving, not looking at. Evora has always been ugly as sin and the 400 is even worse, and the indicator stalks aren’t in the same postcode as the steering wheel, but it knocks spots off most things in terms of compliance to the road surface. Exige is... well, an Exige (or Elise) is one of those cars that every petrolhead needs to own once in their life. It’s motoring nirvana, and even though the screen will freeze on the inside and the cup holders are crap and you’ll never look cool getting in or out, you’ll never have a drive you don’t remember. In terms of performance, both Lotii are miles clear of a heavy old 370.

    Are they? What’s the link?
  4. Ah yes, quite correct. So make that 18” = MPS4, 19”+ = MPS4S.
  5. What size wheels? If 17" then MPS4, if 18" or up then MPS4S.

Damn. I’ve got a stack of those here I was planning on using this winter, for that gleaming glass shine they show you on the tellybocks. Imagine that all over the car

Holy crap that’s genius! Where do we stand on Finish Powerball washing machine tablets though?

I’ve gone from Lidl’s own brand washing up liquid to Fairy Platinum. My paintwork has never looked so spotless, never mind how soft my hands are now.
  9. If only he had a massive web shop you could check via the magic of google, or even if he had an entire section on here you could click to contact him directly... If only.
  10. It’s the HFCs. Either get an O2 extension, or get them coded out via Uprev. Or go back to standard cats.

Oh, ok. Got a link? I wouldn’t say there’s anything dodgy about that at all, just a DVLA balls up. If it’s a decent car, and remembering it’s a Revup and priced accordingly, I can’t see an issue at all.

So what is the problem then?!

Why would it show Japanese registration on a UK document? Sometimes vehicles get built and sit around without being registered, that's just how it is. What exactly is the issue here?

No, there is zero way of checking build date apart from writing to Nissan and asking very nicely, but you've two hopes with that and one died in 2003. If you have a Revup, you have a Revup. That's all there is to it, it was just registered very very very late. Hopefully you didn't pay OTT for it, or believe it was a HR model before buying.

Probably been sat in a dealer storage for ages, although if it's a Revup (as you say, with the single intake into the engine) then that'd been there a while. Not impossible though, not by any means, there was a bunch of Irish cars like that that did the rounds for a while.
  16. On standard cats? Or hiflo/decats?

Nope, I'd still shoot anyone opting for it, which seems appropriate for a car made in America too.

I'm sure technically it's a better gearbox: Faster, more reliable, possibly lighter? It still doesn't make it the right choice for this application at all, in my eyes. In the same way the 7-speed manual in the 911 is a travesty.

Also, it's just an opinion. I didn't say you didn't have to buy one because of me, I just said that I don't like them. I'm not really sure where all your aggression comes from, I'm really not.

Been on the sauce again fella?
  21. Probably because I have a new job and can't post on here 24/7 any more

Really? Because I'm pretty sure I'm happy to say to people in real life what I say on here I don't like the thought of 10 speed gearboxes in sports coupes, what's the issue with that? If you have a counter point to make, as opposed to trying to score cheap Internet Points, then feel free to join the conversation.

My comment was more that that kind of 'box is more suited to diesel barges where you might want to make use of the small powerband, not a sports coupe with a massive V8 and a whole bunch of torque. It wasn't a dig at your oh-so-precious and completely infallible Mustang.

Oh, so you have driven a ten-speed auto then? Pray, tell me about what it's like then.

No-one needs ten gears. It's just pandering to the numbers, just to use as a selling point. Hell most of the time we'd only need four gears: 1-3 being short up to 90mph, then 4th as a huuuuuuge cruising gear up to 200mph
