  2. Hazardous how?? the force of an airbag will very quickly shift or rip the wire out unless it’s tighter than a duck’s posterior and welded into place: a wire shoved up behind the trim is neither of those things.
  3. Going EV for green reasons is a fad and the wrong reason to do so imho. I’m not convinced EVs are any better long-term than ICE cars, maybe hydrogen is but all this tech is just being rushed through for a political and/or publicity reason. Right now it’s hipster to be EV, but will it stay like that forever?
  4. So basically it’s still all Trump’s fault? Figured as much.
  5. Because of the lack of readily available plutonium, duh!
  6. That's my point, I'm only 38 and I still don't think this is remotely doable even in the wildest dreams. But on a wider note, aren't we all slowly dying really...? *scene fades out to some soft music and fluffy clouds in a bright blue sky*
  7. Never ever going to happen in my lifetime, so I give not two hoots about it.
  8. Yup, it has a much more sensitive knock sensor that will happily cope with 95ron at any revs, assuming you're with making a bit less power.
  9. You cannot run a DE engined car on 95ron, as the knock sensor does not function once you hit higher revs i.e. 4k rpm and over. You can’t change what others have done, but please only use 97+ going forward.
  10. OEM if you want quieter, surely?
  11. They’re f*cking awesome. In all seriousness though, I have nothing negative to say about them. They’ve improved on the one area the MPSS weren’t great at (road noise), and are at least if not more the equal in all other areas. Wear and tear I can’t tell yet as I’ve not done enough miles, but that’s probably a positive thing if I can’t even see any wear yet! If you’re running 18” wheels and need a tyre to put on them, you’d be mad to consider anything else tbh.
  12. Exactly my thoughts these days, I want involvement at normal speeds not outright power.
  13. Tbh it took me a year of owning mine before I "got" how a 911 is supposed to be driven. Once I did though I was hooked, and it p*ssed all over my brother's Cayman R for me in terms of fun. They're not for everyone though, I'll give you that, and I imagine owning an older 964 would be a totally different and MUCH more challenging drive!
  14. So why not contact the team before placing the post, when you know it doesn’t meet the rules, to see if they’ll make an exception?
  15. Build a 964 to whatever spec you fancy for that kind of money. Would be fun on the road, challenging on track, and always an experience.
  16. Go read Ilogikal’s detailing thread. He’s covered this very recently.
  17. Binned it at Pouhon? What the bloody hell was he doing?! Who was the TDO? Always handy to know who the decent companies are out there. Worth pointing out for others that some TDOs do allow overtaking either side at the bigger tracks like Spa and Silverstone, or at least RMA do so do check the rules of the TDO before you get caught out. It’s one reason I won’t do an RMA day, as I’ve seen enough idiots on regular days who can’t cope with single side overtaking, much less want to risk sharing a track with people who actually need to make a choice
  18. Where no one will ever see them? Nah dude, just do a proper build thread in the right section on here, it’ll be good for others to follow your progress too
  19. Jeez dude, just do a single build thread and chuck everything in there, you’ve been responsible for half the new threads on the forum since you got another car!
  20. Be cheaper to get it repaired.
  21. Pretty poor etiquette all round really. Porsche driver obviously either a complete d*ck or just not very good (or doesn’t know the track), but why the Bmw and Nismo then proceed to follow him so closely I don’t know. The whole video is just begging for an accident. If someone is being that rude to not let you by, then why waste your entire lap sat behind him: Ease off, find some space, then crack on. But yeah, when on track ffs use your bloody mirrors!
  22. So the first one was utterly broken then
  23. There's a difference between an alignment to get it back into default Nissan understeer-o-matic settings, and a decent geo to actually make it drive better. Do the latter. Who is the garage? If they've performance or motorsport experience they'll probably be fine, if they're more generic then don't bother.
