  1. Just make sure you haggle better next time then
  2. As much as I always wanted more power on the roads when I had my MX5, on track it really wasn’t an issue at all as I had much more freedom to allow me to work the chassis harder where you really shouldn’t on the road! Sometimes it’s fun just to exploit what you’ve got and be *that* person on track days that’s holding everyone up for a change I mean, since you have something with more power to use anyway then it’s a no brained to concentrate purely on suspension and brakes on this one
  3. Sorry, I was aiming that at @Bikeracer. His issues have been on going for some time, and I thought he’d returned it as Nissan had agreed to take it back after he went legal on their ass. Tbh, I’d be mad too. I’d potentially be referring it back to my credit card or finance company (unless you paid cash) as well for some extra clout.
  4. Have you not returned it yet??
  5. There are two torque specs that cover any bolt ever: just enough, or f***ing tight
  6. Was the noise there on the test drive? Even a little bit? The warranty isn’t relevant here, the CRA protects you far more. Worth pointing out too that if they insist you bring the car back to them for diagnosis (and tbh they really should if they’ve any common sense), then you’ll have to do so. It’s not their fault you live a distance away, after all.
  7. Mandatory driving retests every ten years would be a good place to start. Not the same test, so no need for shuffling that wheel, but a more open and common sense approach to how a person drives.
  8. Put it this way: Everytime you don’t move left when you could, YOU’RE THE REASON THE ROAD NETWORK IN THIS COUNTRY DOESN’T WORK. You’re the reason that the motorways are always full. You’re the reason that people get frustrated and do silly things, causing accidents. You are the cause of the problem. Undertaking wouldnt be be an issue if people drove properly. So next time you’re sat there in lane 2 or 3 (or 4!), and there’s room to move back left, then choose to be a decent driver and do it. Be the solution, not the problem.
  9. A splash page! Man, it’s like 2001 all over again.
  10. Sadly that’s the case for the majority of Zed owners, or it was when I did the poll a few years back. Most just buy cars because they like the looks, rather than what it is.
  11. Seriously?! Dude, if he’s been let loose to the media then that’s literally his job to do exactly that! The 370 sold pitifully (in comparison) as it was the wrong car at the wrong price point. Why would Nissan be desperate to follow it up any time soon? They either need to go cheaper (no chance), faster (nope, that’s GTR territory) or more premium (and get buyers out of a TT, Porsche or maybe Alpine?!). So, so unlikely on all counts. Maybe a Z replacement will come at some point. Maybe not. This just isn’t any kind of story though, it’s not confirming a damn thing other than someone at some point has shoved a sketch for a new car under his nose. Which ain’t gonna be a surprise to anyone, that will happen to him daily.
  12. If it’s true, why aren’t there more outlets covering it? Why aren’t Nissan shouting about it with official press releases?
  13. I hope not. Although do you realise you've you’ve put a pic of an Astra up instead for the 2nd pic?
  14. Not my car, so if she wants to buy a new one then she can go right ahead
  15. Or maybe it’s because they just can’t shift them otherwise?
  16. Again, it’s utter bobbins and hearsay. Nothing concrete over he said she said, so nowt to get excited about. Soz.
  17. Well bang goes my theory of just using the wipes then time to break out the big guns after all. As always, sterling stuff and thanks dude
  18. No excuses, we demand RESULTS NOW BITCH!!!11
  19. You don’t buy a lotus because they’re practical, or usable. You buy one because they have the best damn steering and suspension of any car you can buy today. They’re for driving, not looking at. Evora has always been ugly as sin and the 400 is even worse, and the indicator stalks aren’t in the same postcode as the steering wheel, but it knocks spots off most things in terms of compliance to the road surface. Exige is... well, an Exige (or Elise) is one of those cars that every petrolhead needs to own once in their life. It’s motoring nirvana, and even though the screen will freeze on the inside and the cup holders are crap and you’ll never look cool getting in or out, you’ll never have a drive you don’t remember. In terms of performance, both Lotii are miles clear of a heavy old 370.
