  1. I've seen appalling driving in both a sheddy old Fiesta with chav cans and in a 458 Challenge car on track days. I make zero assumptions as to the level of driving I expect from the guy behind/in front, as any one with a big enough chequebook can buy anything they want, regardless of talent I'd consider myself an experienced track day driver, but I'm not sure I'd be happy with overtaking on either side. I've been on days where it's been allowed in parts (Rockingham is the one that sticks out in my mind), and tbh it just encourages idiots to do idiotic things. I'm sure it does work, as lots of companies do it now, but each to their own on the comfort for that. Worst track day I ever did was at Anglesey with Circuit Days years ago, we had GT-Rs and Evos racing each other and undertaking through the the last corner by the pit wall (the single most dangerous place on the whole track!) but I went back with them last year and they had massively improved and it was one of the best run days I've ever done. I'd use them happily again.
  2. I really should get new glasses, I read that last sentence completely wrong...!
  3. I would, yes. If you drive on a worn clutch you can put hotspots on the flywheel, which would then also need changing. Now, for performance reasons I'd change the flywheel to a single mass one at the same time as doing the clutch any way to save on the labour costs, but if you don't want to then better to change the clutch earlier rather than later.
  4. Good article, nice find Graham
  5. Ding A F*cking Ling
  6. I care. She's taking up a spot that a decent driver could actually be using to further their career, rather than just being there for PR purposes.
  7. Well yeah, like the 911 and the BRZ86, you can get adults in but you wouldn't want to do hundreds of miles like that. The 645 isn't any better, tbh.
  8. Which part?
  9. 2+2, no way a GT-R is a four seater unless you're a midget.
  10. Depends on whether you want a coupe or a convertible, doesn't it? Then it depends on what colour you like. Then it depends on whether you want more power. Then it depends on your budget. Then it depends on whether you can find a decent example.
  11. The numbers are just order the tester writes things down in, they're not proper codes
  12. Meh, I've nailed the snot out of an FF and a 458 in the damp without traction kicking in, you must just have a very heavy right foot
  13. It's okay if you ban me, I know it's only because you're super-jelly of my awesome handbag
  14. What a crock. Utterly, utterly pointless. All they've done now is to ensure that any driver that has a crash that could possibly maybe cause a concussion (i.e. any crash) can no longer be allowed to race for a month afterwards. Well, isn't that just helpful. If I was Alonso, I'd be looking for a different set of doctors.
  15. Right, I see get you now.
  16. Why did you declare it? I wouldn't have. Household insurance has zero to do with motoring insurance.
  17. Another terrible choice. What are you all thinking?! Congrats Ian!
  18. Terrible choice. I mean, congrats Andy! :D
  19. Apart from being massively overwheeled, that looks pretty good. I wasn't sure at first, but I think the design would grow on me. Needs a little more attention with regards to the sizes of the lights compared to the body, but otherwise I think that's genuinely decent. Better than their Bentayga!
  20. Nice How comes you disconnected the battery?
  21. Unions should be disbanded. They were great back in the day when there was no legislation to protect the worker, but now we have so much and it's so easy to get hold of the info you need that the main reason for a union to exist (to protect its members) no longer works. They have too much power now, even these days, and I hate them with a passion. This is a wider issue than just the incident you mention though Col. That's just utter stupidity, and any of the members who have an ounce of common sense would carry on working rather than strike. Jo still goes into work when the teacher strikes are on, as she always votes no. No kids there of course, but she still gets stuff done like marking and classroom prep. She gets the odd funny look from her colleagues, but no-one actually calls her a scab or anything. Some random bloke did on SELOC though when I mentioned it over there, which made me chuckle The only reason she's a union member is in case a kid accuses her of touching them up, as the free legal stuff then comes in VERY handy as you can imagine.
  22. It was the avant, 07 model in that blue colour a lot of the S cars come in. B7 then. That's probably about right, seeing as he'd be on a manual 'box. Is yours manual too?
  23. Good launch. Which RS4 was it?
