  1. 2+2, no way a GT-R is a four seater unless you're a midget.
  2. Depends on whether you want a coupe or a convertible, doesn't it? Then it depends on what colour you like. Then it depends on whether you want more power. Then it depends on your budget. Then it depends on whether you can find a decent example.
  3. The numbers are just order the tester writes things down in, they're not proper codes
  4. Meh, I've nailed the snot out of an FF and a 458 in the damp without traction kicking in, you must just have a very heavy right foot
  5. It's okay if you ban me, I know it's only because you're super-jelly of my awesome handbag
  6. What a crock. Utterly, utterly pointless. All they've done now is to ensure that any driver that has a crash that could possibly maybe cause a concussion (i.e. any crash) can no longer be allowed to race for a month afterwards. Well, isn't that just helpful. If I was Alonso, I'd be looking for a different set of doctors.
  7. Why did you declare it? I wouldn't have. Household insurance has zero to do with motoring insurance.
  8. Another terrible choice. What are you all thinking?! Congrats Ian!
  9. Terrible choice. I mean, congrats Andy! :D
  10. Apart from being massively overwheeled, that looks pretty good. I wasn't sure at first, but I think the design would grow on me. Needs a little more attention with regards to the sizes of the lights compared to the body, but otherwise I think that's genuinely decent. Better than their Bentayga!
  11. Nice How comes you disconnected the battery?
  12. Unions should be disbanded. They were great back in the day when there was no legislation to protect the worker, but now we have so much and it's so easy to get hold of the info you need that the main reason for a union to exist (to protect its members) no longer works. They have too much power now, even these days, and I hate them with a passion. This is a wider issue than just the incident you mention though Col. That's just utter stupidity, and any of the members who have an ounce of common sense would carry on working rather than strike. Jo still goes into work when the teacher strikes are on, as she always votes no. No kids there of course, but she still gets stuff done like marking and classroom prep. She gets the odd funny look from her colleagues, but no-one actually calls her a scab or anything. Some random bloke did on SELOC though when I mentioned it over there, which made me chuckle The only reason she's a union member is in case a kid accuses her of touching them up, as the free legal stuff then comes in VERY handy as you can imagine.
  13. It was the avant, 07 model in that blue colour a lot of the S cars come in. B7 then. That's probably about right, seeing as he'd be on a manual 'box. Is yours manual too?
  14. Good launch. Which RS4 was it?
  15. FFS, you'd have thought that Nissan wouldn't be that desperate for drivers that they have to use Max "Daddy's got all the money to buy me a drive" Chiltern! My faith in this project has diminished somewhat.
  16. Erm, get your alignment done first? Although if the camber is that noticeable (and it shouldn't be, unless you're running a seriously track-spec geo) then I wonder if you might have bigger issues.
  17. At 15/16, and as A grade students, they're clever enough to read the media and work out what's going on for themselves. As such, they're on their own. To flip it, we're well aware that the allied armed forces have killed many civilians by mistake over the last 13 years in the Middle East, so whilst we know all the good they've done (or not, depending on your view of the conflicts) we're also acutely aware that they've done some pretty shocking things too. Considering our media is biased towards the good stuff, then you struggle to see just how those three girls couldn't have known what they're possibly getting into. My sympathies are with the families as they'll probably never see their daughters again, but I have no sympathy for the girls.
  18. Current setup looks like this: Bit of a mess right now, it's only there for testing purposes though There's more in other boxes I haven't quite gotten round to getting out yet, and I need to decide where in the room it's all going so I can make the unit for it.
  19. The best traction control is your right foot. If you're relying on traction control to stop you spinning wheels and generally chucking yourself in a ditch, you really should be looking at improving your technique rather than adding technology. And I say that coming from someone who nearly chucked his 911 in a ditch after relying on traction control a little too much...

    Spock

Yeah, how dare he miss saying goodbye to an old friend because he's doing something selfless like raising money for charity! What an utter cad!
  21. Really? That's pretty cool. Yup, still there, still a sod to get to if you get the tiniest bit of traffic.
  22. Well, no. Does anyone actually specify the routine maintenance when they buy a car? No-one asked, I didn't volunteer. Are you ever planning to change your brake pads when they get low? Or will you ask someone to carry out a service at some point? Ooh, do you think you'll ever wash your car?! I write these threads (and all my car threads, actually) as I enjoy it, and hopefully other people can get some kind of idea what it's like to own something different in the real world. My humble apologies if this is not to your taste. FFS sunshine, you really are a weapons grade pillock. You don't like the car, we get it. You don't like me, fine, I get that too. You really are making yourself look an utter plank here though, and I'd wager I'm not the only one thinking it.
