  1. What was this car, and more importantly when the hell was it made?! Must've been a proper old car. As for your brake issue, take the wheels off and have a look. It'll be reasonably obvious which pads have material and which ones don't, and the ones that don't have probably eaten the discs too.
  2. 07 is for mobiles, 070 is for personal numbers. Biggest difference is that the latter can be accompanied by a call setup fee. http://consumers.ofcom.org.uk/files/2010/01/numbering.pdf
  3. I did?! Lol, what a twit I now feel! No wonder I thought they were awesome!
  4. I'd go with Phil's numbers, they're pretty decent although I'd personally run with a bit more toe out at the front (5deg either side), but that really is just my preference. That's a really solid base to work from to figure out what you're after, thanks for posting Phil What settings do you run your BCs at, Adab? I had a play with some on a Zed recently, I think I settled around 10 from hard on the front and 14 from hard on the rear, but that was for road use. I'll have to check on those numbers, but I think they were around there.
  5. I just wanted to ruin their fun really. I'm distraught I missed such an opportunity

    X-wing Z

    Heh, that's quite good
  7. All we do know for sure is that the Porsche is fastest, since they're the only ones to reveal their Ring time

    wheels security

Locking wheel nuts only cause trouble. If they want the wheels, they'll get the wheels.
  9. Kickstarter here we come!
  10. You either need a new-money Ferrari owner who doesn't give a fig, or one with enough clout that they might be able to get away with it. Does Nick Mason have his yet?
  11. I once drove from my house to JAE (90 mins)with the front end of my first MR2 protected by clingfilm
  12. In the world of the million dollar hypercar, prestige is everything. To openly have a car that is slower than your two rivals is like turning up to a posh ballroom wearing a toga. You'll never live it down, and you'll always be known as the slow one. Given how poorly both McLaren and Ferrari have been in F1 of late, they really don't want that to stick with their road cars too. The buyers of these cars can be fairly fickle, and will often go to where the top trump is (how else do you think Koeniggsegg stay in business?!). I think it's a huge shame for motoring that this will never happen, but in these days where the manufacturers are brands first and car makers second (looking straight at you, Marchionne), you can understand their POV.
  13. Trouble is, none of them have anything to gain by allowing the cars to go head to head, and everything to lose.
  14. Ferrari have done this for a while now, nothing new sadly. An owner can do what they want with the car, just as Ferrari can choose not to sell anything else to him once they find out. A quick tug of the car's ECU will soon reveal where it's been and how it's been used, come service time.
  15. You'll never beat stone chips. You could have a film applied, but that costs money and you'll always be able to see the lines where it is (even if you have the whole car wrapped!). Best thing to do is to just enjoy driving it, and save for a front end respray every couple of years. Cheapest and best way to keep it looking smart.
  16. Trouble is, if you were lucky enough to be allowed to buy an FLF then you're probably going to want to be able to buy the next hypercar in 2025, as well as the first 488, and the new FF, and the new F12, and then the 488S, and so on and so forth. That's a lot of awesome car to miss out on just so you can get 15mins on TG. Personally, if it were me, I'd probably do the exact same thing. McLaren are just being pussies though. I say let Ferrari turn up with the gear (like they do for every single car launch ever), then let McLaren match it with all their super clever experts, and then just watch Porsche turn up and throw you the keys. I know I'm biased, but I really can't see Porsche ever turning down a fair fight. If the 918 was slower at Silverstone as I suspect, they'd simply point out that they have the only hypercar that can travel on electric power only, or is 4WD for use in the snow, and anything else the PR department can come back with. Hell, they might even just point out the number of trophies in the cabinet, which is greater than both the other two. I just don't see them being as picky or precious: They just get determined. Look at how hard they chased the GT-R with the GT2RS and the new 991 cars after the Nissan p*ssed all over their Ring time!
  17. He's only jealous, treacle. <3
  18. Hand your man card in on the way out please.
  19. Nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
  20. I assume this is referring to the three new hypercars potentially going round Dunsfold? I wouldn't be too sure on the P1 beating the 918 round there, as it's not a high speed track and there's a lot of slower corners which would favour 4WD over downforce. On a proper track like a Silverstone or a Monza the 918 wouldn't see which way the P1 went though.
  21. Paddles control the revmatching on manual cars.
  22. what sort of van None. I drive a truck as my daily for work.
  23. M6? STi or Evo of your choice. TTRS will walk over anything, gotta be close to that budget now surely?
  24. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/tvr/t350/shining-jewel-sapphire-blue-t350c------------------2004/3041327 No less unreliable than an FI 370, assuming you check the chassis and engine servicing.
