Looks good:) What wax/sealant did you use after the UC?

Saw this tonight. It's excellent, it really is. There's much less focus on the cars and its the better for it, and the action scenes are incredibly well done. This is the best film out of the entire series, as it's much more cohesive in what it's trying to say. And yes, the end section is just about right. You can see they were all friends, and there was no acting in that.

Possibly. Depends on alignment, weather, how hard you're driving etc. I normally just leave them at road pressures unless it's really hit or I'm really sliding the car.
-
Don't do it from speed, 30 is fine, it'll just let you know where the issue is on the car.
-
I'd check the wheel nuts were tight, first off. More likely to be a sticky caliper than anything wrong with the tyres. Could be alignment, but very unlikely. What happens when you brake hard with no hands on the wheel?

Ref TTS and 335i looking the same as the cheaper models: That's also a good thing, means you stand out less when pressing on or you can surprise a few things Sometimes you just need a change.

This isnt the case. When on a road going car can u really push the car. I bought mine with budgets on it which i assume the seller put onit to sell. The fronts are still on and ive since replaced the rears with pilot sports. My bmw always had pirellis on it and was very tail happy. 9 times out of 10 my 4 yr old is in my car with me and ive got no problem with the old or new tyres that were fitted to the carand if ur within the speed limits ive never had any problems. I think in some cases its not the tyres its the drivers needing to learn how to drive the car properly. Indeed it is. And, with all due respect, if you think that a car on crap tyres still handles like on rails then I would humbly guess that some learning may well be in order. I know that sounds harsh, and I don't mean it to be, but there's a lot of people on here who can seriously pedal and they will all tell you the same thing, that the tyres used make a hugely fundamental difference to the way a car handles. On the road you can't really push a car 10/10ths, but 8/10ths? Yeah, you can, and you'll still feel the difference. Only by driving at under 5/10ths do I personally believe you wouldn't notice any difference. If you only ever use a Zed (or any performance car, for that matter) in the same way that you'd use a Micra then you may not notice the difference in everyday driving. Well, except that the better tyres will last longer... Where you will notice it is if you have an emergency caused by someone else being a d*ck. If you need to slam the anchors on, or take excessive evasion action, you may well find that those budget tyres cause you as much grief as the emergency itself. I don't just advocate the use of quality tyres for the sake of going quickly, I also do it for the sake of stopping quickly too.

That's very easy, the best value are the MPSS as they will last far longer than any other brand. Proven now across many different cars and for a few years. Given that they're no longer the expensive option, they're an absolute no brainer if you just want the best value tyre you can buy. The fact they're the best performing too is just a bonus.

Anyone got a Sonos system running with iTunes?

If you folks think that the Zed handles 'like on rails' on crappy tyres, then you're going to get a real shock when you put it on something decent.

I tried Tidal back in January, before they were bought out. Yes, you could tell the difference in quality, but the library was so limited it was pointless. They even advertised stuff that they didn't have any rights to, just to make it look better. -
Chuck 'em on eBay. Or doughnuts. Depends if you want money or fun

And if you like TS, like I do, it's useless. -

I don't have iMatch, no, which makes it even more odd. The tracks you downloaded, you got them from iTunes? Are they in 256? Tbh, if it's only 20 tracks and they're relatively common ones, I'd either suck it up and buy them again on iTunes or just yarr them from your favourite torrent site. -

Odd, I don't have that issue with any of my stuff: Once iTunes went DRM-free, I've not had any troubles at all. Got an example of the tracks in question? -
There's a billion more things to it, like how fresh the fuel is, and whether or not the fuel actually was 97/98/99 in the first place (could be higher!).

No, 050As are excellent tyres, I didn't see you had an HR so that's my fault. It's the 040s which are sh*t, I ran the 050As on my 911 and they really were supremely impressive.

In that case, I would stick strictly to either Canon or Nikon. Nowt wrong with other brands, but there's not a good enough reason to switch for the purposes you're after. Is it a surprise present? If not, then I'd take your Dad into a shop and get him to try out the cameras at the budget end of their ranges. IIRC that's the Nikon D3300 and the Canon EOS 1200D at the moment, although you'll probably find some bargain D3200s around as well right now. Doesn't matter which shop, you're not going to buy from there so even Currys will do. I think I'd be looking at the 3300/3200 more than the 1200D, as I believe the screen is slightly bigger on the rear. I also happen to be a Nikon person myself though, so may be slightly biased When I tried both brands back to back, there were less irritating features about the Nikon than the equivalent Canon, but then that's a very personal thing. Either of those bodies mentioned will give great results with a decent lens, and tbh that's where the real money you have to lay down is. Depending on what the project is, a bundled kit lens may not be suitable so you might have to look at buying just the body and then finding the best deal on the correct lens. I've seen some great shots done by people on proper low-rent cameras, and some crap shots done by people on £5K worth of gear. Unless he's already familiar with the principles of DSLR photography, then there's no point buying anything too fancy, as it'll just give confusing options when really it's not needed IMHO. http://www.wexphotographic.com/digital-slr-cameras/b3065?sortby=1 Always good for prices when you do come to buy, and great customer service too. That's where I get most of my bits from these days. If there's something specific you want though, I can check duty free prices at the airport and am happy to pick something up for you if it saves you a few quid

OEMS on the rear? As in 040s? They're not really much better, you'll be losing a lot of grip and feel by running those too! But yeah, crap tyres and crap alignments can ruin a car faster than anything else in terms of enjoyment.

Does he want a point and click, or something more complex like a DSLR?
