Scotland is huge (obvious, I know), I think you're right to leave that. You could easy spend a week there doing 6 hours driving a day and still miss bits.
70 miles is nothing, take it very easy until you've done 150 ish, see how it is then. They're both very good tyres, just be aware of the imbalance in the wet then change the fronts to match when they get down to 3mm.
Nothing to do with load ratings, all to do with mixed tyres.

Maybe technically abroad, but there's loads to do there aside from no speed limits. It's a wonderful place, far more petrolhead than the Ring, I love it.
Not for me. That logo (as well as the one on the storage bin) clashes with everything else on the car, and don't even get me started on those awful spring things...!
